Who was wondering that things got sour in the EU so quickly ? I am not.

Considering the amount of hate towards the EU, which I was able to "feel" even with 10yrs old, I am not surprised in the slightest it had to explode at some point.

The EU wouldnt have been now in such a dilemma, if there was a proper plan against economy crisis. The last 10 yrs were wasted time, as growth wasnt really able to establish, but new bubbles have developed.

Furthermore it appeared that Germany was doing an economy war against the PIGS states (an economy war within the EU). Pretty helpful to establish a diplomatic consensus, NOT.

Reasonable arguments dont hold against the anger of the people with the current situation.

Yes its reasonable to stay inside the EU. But the status quo is not satisfactory and people prefer to see a change rather than keeping everything as it is.

The big problem the EU had in recent years regarding economic crisis and such is the non-adherence to previous agreements (albeit some of them did definitely contradict one another). There were rules for state wealth and bankruptcy that apparently had been established without ever intending to stick to them when push comes to shove, else Greece and Spain would have been off probably even worse, or at least there would have been results way sooner.

Same goes for refugee distribution. All EU states agreed to a form of distribution, but now far too many say "no, we won't". They're, in my eyes, absolutely breaking the rules by doing so.

Memorable quotes not taken yet:

Of course, this ignores the non-constant cross-sectional first moment of area across the chest as well as non-constant material properties of the boob; it would be difficult to perform a more detailed analysis (as in, I'd have to have a shape function AND I'd need to derive a function for elastic modulus as a function of lateral breast coordinate) but whatever. It's 2am and I'm lazy.

I always believed science should be very hands on experience.

You should also answer this question I had posed in that thread: Would you be willing to pay your surgeon more if he was going to use a chainsaw for the opening incision of surgery? Clearly using a chainsaw isn't truly suited for surgery but that doesn't really matter. If he's "skilled" enough to be able to use the wrong tools of the trade, he should be rewarded for that skill right?

Your opinion on the EU ref?
Personally, i don't take a stance on whether or not there is a creating entity because i'm humble enough to realize, in my fucking insignificance, the concept escapes my comprehension with a lead of 9001 light years.

Oh damn, I thought that there would be exit polling so we'd have some idea of what was going on. Didn't realize that publishing exit poll data was illegal in the UK.

Fuuu that's after I have to go to bed because I have work tomorrow.

In other news, I made a Facebook post about today

It is time. The world's economy is on the line. The financial livelihoods of millions are at risk. Today, many will decide if they stay or go.
It was to be expected. It follows a trend--it will always happen, it has true inevitability.
At the end of the day, this always happens because people, at some level, people WANT it to happen. That's really why--it's a part of human nature.
Gentlemen, the time is upon us--the Steam Summer Sale has begun.
.
What's this about a Brexit? Is that some kind of sandwich? Sounds like something British.

Yes, the joke is that it's ambiguous as to what I"m talking about.

@Nick 30075

There are exit polls on general elections, not in this one I guess. I think it's because general elections are done via constituencies, where 1 = 1 seat in Parliament. Whereas this referendum is being done more by region (Liverpool etc..), so perhaps it's more of an issue getting the information for a whole region together? Idk, that's just a guess.

Newcastle belongs to Scotland anyway once the Scots have their referendum again.
