Warframe

A perk to owning a PS4 is the availability of Warframe. While Iam aware that this title originated on PC, I had not realized its existence until discovering it while browsing the PlayStation Store. I'm sure glad that I downloaded the file because it is fantastic. I am especially fond of the variety between the various Tenno and weaponry available. This has become my replacement game whenever Battlefield 4 is boring or frustrating. What's your verdict?

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

Just started playing today. PvE is a nice change of pace compared to always playing frustrating BF4 matches and Planetside 2.

It feels unique, and I think I'll be playing it for quite some time. Keep in mind, the game is still in open beta.

I can't say I love it or hate it, since I'm still using Excalibur. I want to switch to a frame that is the most mobile combined with the best melee. Any ideas as to which frame would be best for this?

Excalibur has some of the best melee abilities and Warframe stats, but melee mods will help you with that more than any Frame's stats. First of all, fusion up Pressure Point as much as you possibly can, I currently have it at +100% melee damage.

Frame choice really depends on if you're playing with others and which frames others are using. I'm playing Mag right now with great success, the area effect is invaluable in later levels against the Infested.

Definitely consider investing in some Platinum if you plan on playing it a lot though, grinding for foundry items is a waste of time.

It's really disappointing that it has to be so grindy. It's a cool concept of a game but it will end up like World of Tanks and War Thunder, losing most of its players simply because it takes too long to get things.

I don't have that mod yet. Also, how do I unlock other frames? Is buying platinum the only way for most of them?

And have you tried Ash out? From what I've heard, he sounds like a good melee frame and is very fast.

Ash is good if you're playing solo, but useless in team play. You can buy Blueprints with credits, but they take an obscene amount of stuff to grind.

Is anyone still playing the game ?
I started playing it with friends a few days ago, kind of fun, grinding is not really boring, but I don't like to play with internet pick ups.

Anyone has tips for a good frame+weapons combo for someone that likes to play from a bit of distance ?
I have Excalibur, but I think it does not fit my playstyle. I don't know if Mag would be better (when I'll be able to get her)
As of weapons, I'm using Braton (not mk-1) and think to move to a Paris if I can get my hands around the 2 morphics I still need ^^
Melee weapons ... Should I go for double Ether or craft the Scindo I got the schems for ?

I regularly play it when Battlefield becomes overly frustrating, which is known to happen frequently haha. :D

Mag is certainly a more improved option to Excalibur, but both are relatively weak in reference to other Warframes. Currently I have constructed the Rhino and Oberon Warframes (after initiating my experience with Excalibur) and either one is infnitely more powerful than Excalibur, I cannot speak for Mag though.

The Paris bow definitely serves a ranged playstyle, but also allows you to obtain close proximity kills when it is required. I have one in my posession as well. It excels in puncture damage and has a decent Status Chance, which is the opportunity to inflict elemental damage (heat, ice, toxin, electricity, etc.). These modifiers are applied through element modules.

The purpose of leveling your weapon is not only to increase its damage capabilities, but to unlock slots to use modules of which also improve your weapon's performance. Say you pick up a module, in the top righthand corner states a number and symbol. The number indicates the required amout of slots needed to apply to your weapon/ Warframe while the symbol dictates polarity.

For example your Braton is a level 6. You come across a mod with a level 5 triangle polarity. In your Arsenal you can apply that mod to your Braton since you have 6 slots available for upgrades. Hypothetically, the Braton has a triangular polarity space, placing that level 5 module with the corresponding polarity card will reduce the cost of that mod by a factor of 2. As a result, the card costs only 3 (because 2.5 is irrational and is rounded up) slots so you effectively save room for other modifications. The same concept is true for melees, secondaries, and suits (Warframes).

Modules alter weapons' general perforances along the bases of fire-rate, damage output, reload speed, and Status Chance (I might be forgetting a factor or two). All weapons are designed around 3 damage factors: Puncture, Slash, and Impact. Puncture is designed to penetrate armor, therefore it is most useful against Grineer as they are heavily armored. Slash provides a goring ability which consistently inflicts damage over time. It is best used against Infested. Impact is ideal for neutralizing shields and is preferred against Corpus targets for that very reason; they rely on shields for protection. This is not to say that the damage types do not affect all factions though. This is just a representation of which types are best for certain enemies (Search "Damage 2.0" on the internet for more info on the subject).

I would suggest leveling Excalibur to his maximum rank simply to learn how the game functions then, provided you have the sector unlocked, farming Earth's boss, Vay Hek, for Oberon components. Oberon is a great Warframe who encompasses a balance of damaging and healing abilities. You will need to upgrade his shields and health too as they begin at a low state.
