well then why not eating eggs and milk? they do not suffer(even though it depends on the farmer,but mostly they SHOULDN'T suffer)
Well cows are linked to their pits and machines all day long and chickens are stuffed into small cages. Thats suffering to me. And yes it shoud depend on farmet but meat cattle actually has things much better. Better still doesn't mean its good

you obviously haven't heard of "free range." You know, where cattle have big open areas to roam and chickens are free to rip everything apart? They still do that over here in the 'States; it's just not mainstream like it used to be. It costs more to get a free-range cow butchered (especially after that 'pink slime' fiasco) and packed up, but you get more beef out of the deal, as well as getting different cuts (Porterhouse, London Broil, Brisket, etc.). That and free-range beef kicks the ever-living shit out of the stuff you can pick up at your local supermarket, and I say this as an employee of a supermarket, by the way. I haven't had that kind of beef in a year or so (prices went through the roof after the scandal broke out, and my parents didn't want to pay those kinds of prices), but the memory of it still makes my mouth water...

Anyway, I'm kind of happy that my sister left to go back to college. She went vegetarian during her first semester at college (Environmental Science, i.e. Eco-Terrorist in Training), and my family has been having more, shall we say, substantial meals since she went back. Example: slow-cooked beef stew. Like, the kind that you put in a pot at 8:00 and don't touch until 17:00-18:00. The best. :love: My family does a lot of slow-cooking, actually. Mainly because my mom works 8:00-19:00 most days this time of year, because tax season.
Ah yes... You think me of as somekind of cityhipster? I am countryboy through and through and members of my family have been farmers for two century. Also I know what free range is because there are farms in Finland that still do that, but it's not as efficient to do as it is to grow meat and milk unethically.
My view of life is that human is not any better creature than a cow and we shouldn't grow them as food. I explained that in earlier post.
I do like to eat game meat because it's ethical and doesn't put any stress to environment because animals I hunt are part of it.

mozzarella di bufala
tomato sauce/pelata(tomatoes in general)
basilico

just call it parmisan,it crackes something in my head when someone calls food without its proper name,at least in their own language.

anyway,we will vbuy pizza in not mu ch time(probably the day after tomorrow) so i'll let you what is a real pizza.

Parmesan is different than Pecorino Romano. Parm is more salty and rich while the Romano has a more distinctly dairy/cream taste.
