i also too never tried spanish cuisine, i've tried a spanish piece of prosciutto, but considering hw much it costed by kilo, it kind of disappointed me, maybe i've just been unlucky... i'd be more interested in the seafood part of the spanish cuisine, also paella.

Well... the question of iberic ham (the prosciutto) in Spain is almost religious. The family that had a pig that could be preserved in various ways (hams, sausages, etc.) was insured against hunger during the year. It is the image of abundance and security. That's why it's a very popular Christmas gift.

But I agree. Good ham has an obscene price. A ham of the best quality of 5-6 Kilos (the bone is included in the weight) costs 400-600 .

based on what we do there, french either get one single big(but not big enough for everything) portion or a lot of portions so small that you'll never get full.

So French food is basically the European version of Japanese food.

and if we kept being a non-united nation 150 years ago we wouldn't have salvini as one of the most likely candidates to be our next president, so?

It was just banter. I should have referenced "Battlefield 1" there more. Haha.

No, I'm not sure that French food is similar to Japanese. French is based on cheese, bread, duck, vegetable, olive oil. And Japanese - fish and rise.

fish and rise.

and vegetables and slowly cooked meat.

also i honestly don't remember bread being a heavy part of french cuisine... maybe it's just because italian cuisine revolves more around it, thus making it a nocebo?

Oh, yes, you're right. I forgot about them.

I mean croissant and baquettes. They eat a lot of such food, especially in the morning.

Regarding that, apparently the Nutella there has a low viscosity due to the softness of French breads.

that would explain why mt mother difn't like french nutella, it's sodter, doesn't get hard and tastes very slightly more of cocoa rather than nuts compared to the italian nutella.

Liquid gianduia by oernigotti is still the best though.

I've recently got into meal prepping. So making all my food for the week on Sunday. Generally I create three dinner meals - 3 portions each. That means I can eat lunch and dinner from Monday to Thursday and then just lunch on Friday. It frees up so much time in the evening during the week, and it also means I can spoil myself on Friday night with something delicious. It also means that I don't waste any food, saving me money as well as time.
