I use since 3 Years now a Razer Naga with full 12 Buttons just for your thumb. For me itīs just the perfect mouse for gaming and work.

I've had it for just over a year, but I wish I got the Hex :'D

Why would you choose the Naga hex if there is updated Naga 2014? Imho it's the best mouse for MMO. There is some learning curve, but these extra 12 buttons are really useful.

So, I went to the shops to look for a mouse, and I found a Roccat Kone(+) in a damaged box that was 10% off, so I got it for about $65 which is the cheapest I saw it on Amazon.

So I figured I'd give it a shot.

So far so good. It's comfortable, and I was able to program the m-wheel tilt to do some interesting things. We'll see how it works out in game. If I can't get used to it or I find it sucks I'll just get another Inferno. I have high hopes, though.

I did look at the Savu and thought it was too basic. I also looked at the Kova, and thought it was too small. I am more of a palm player, so that wasn't gonna work.

Looked at some Razers. The Ouroboros was very cool looking, but noone had it on display to feel it and I wasn't going to drop $150 on a whim. Nothing else really stood out to me.

The high end Logitechs weren't on display either, so I tried my best to get a feel from the packaging and figured that the 4 thumb buttons were gonna get mashed by me.

Yes, also it seems the wire has developed an acute case of broken. :<
I call bullshit.

What was the mouse that had a similar ergonomic that we talked about 2 weeks ago or something?

Just throwing this in: If you like the Savu the Kone Pure Optical delivers the same performance (even better because not as picky about mousepads).

And in terms of Optical vs Laser: All the mice in this thread so far are optical, only some are LED illuminated and others are VCSE-Laser illuminated. The only true "laser" mice are the ones using the doppler shift Phillips Twin Eye sensor. And of all the sensors out there right now the A3090 has proven to be the best.

Btw: That ESR thread is pretty outdated, there are several new mice with excellent tracking using the A3090 these days, like the Zowies, Steelseries Kana V2, Savu, etc.
