Well, I've only played the PC version, and never had an issue with progressing without money, AT ALL. Yes they have added lot's of microtransactions, but even the game's hardest maps and daily challenges can be done without paying, I can tell you that.

I mainly mentioned BTD cause I never liked PvsZ huehue
Ok, might give BTD5 another go then :)

I also just noticed that Kingdom Rush finally is available for non-tablet android devices, that might be right up my alley.

Oh man, I really enjoyed Kingdom Rush (again, on PC). And it's one game where I wouldn't have minded paying for the extra content. I beat the game 100% when it was first released (all 60+ stars), came back to it some months ago to check for some new (free) levels but I only found more paid stuff :[

BTD used to be simple, and IIRC they started with the microtransactions on BTD4. It didn't bother me and it doesn't bother me now as I can play the game without issues and without needing to pay in order to beat a map. At this current point all BTD5 premium offers are the power ups and extra maps, which I think is on the limits of reasonable.

Pretty sure that one or two people here had BTD5 Premium, they can probably tell you more about it than me as I haven't played BTD5 in a long time (months).

I find majority of the complaints I hear about this game somehow never appear in my games.

I also played Kingdom Rush on PC originally, I never beat the game completely though.

Yes, I remember when I played the early iterations of BTD on school computers. The later levels completely murdered the computers. The in-game purchases in BTD5 probably aren't as bad as I think they are, I just see a lot of "pay $1 for extra shooty monkeys!" and see red, even though beating the levels is surely doable without 100 henchmen and extra hearts.

It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

Well I really liked Kindom Rush so there's this :D (I just don't have the twitter and FB stars lol)

Also yeah, the bonuses just make the game much easier. I once remember a daily challenge (back when I played it frequenlty) where you had really restricted tower options and lives. The issue with the challenge was that you had no tower that could pop leads by itself (if you didn't have bonuses). Ended beating it with the MBI :D (meanwhile most people did it with lead melting dart monkeys :3)

Several changes were made during Battlelog maintenance, but no changelog was posted at all. WTF DICE? Adding an assignment and changing server filters is so unimportant?

Australia is a continent, as per American teachings.

and Europe is a country, as per American teachings.

Australia is about as big as USA for that matter :>

I would like to know what school teaches this, so I can burn it down.

Haruhi-forsaken GROUP PROJECTS.

I got an email with the finalized version of our project report--no appendices (need 6), whoever was supposed to finish up one part had just plain forgotten, and we were missing all but 3 of the graphs. I have four teammates. Blatant incompetency, ho!

People being too stupid to use the Q-key to mark squad targets, even after multiple REQUEST ORDERS and explainations.

COME ON IT'S NOT THAT HARD.

Such a fucking simple mechanic, even granting (a lot) of points. BUT NAH.
Ruined mit CQL Guilin match somewhat (I think it's a great / the best inf-combat map).

Sorry for the rant.

I really hate this to. The worst ones are the ones that are in gunner seat and have their entire left hand free but still cannot be arsed to use one finger to press Q. But seeing as those people usually cannot even hit the targets they are going for I'm not that surpriced. Frankly, it would be better if they just spotted enemies they saw instead of shooting them, seeing as it is an "either-or" situation, and they accomplish jack-shit whenever they try shooting enemies.

"Just spot the fuckers so I can shoot them myself!" - Me, way to often.
