ok, im going to say it. apart from all the EA stuff, i prefer origin over steam. steam is just slow at everything. downloading, loading pages. all that stuff. also it does weird stuff with games. it seems to hate arma and dayZ.

edit: also, origin haz da colour of mango's!!!!

This is a door...

...You should probably go through it...

:D
I can't stand Origin, mainly cos I can't stand EA. That's reason enough for me :P

but aside from the EA thing. steam is just not that fast. atleast on my PC its much slower then origin.

Its not a matter of speed since my PC seems to do everything at the same speed more or less. Its a matter of I have lots of games and even more people I talk to on Steam than Origin. Also Origin has a really bad habit of not getting the fucking hint, if I tell it to not update something don't smash Battlefield by updating WHILST I'm playing! Also 9/10 times I log into Origin it'll fail, say my details are wrong when they aren't and I'll have to go through all the malarky of going downstairs, booting the family PC to read the e-mail, write the code down, go back upstairs and input it to get on and play BF3 :(

Origin copied a bad system and made it even worse ;o

Steam just keeps on losing connection, or disallow playing single player if internet is down >.< Annoying as hell.... Steam sales are awesome though, and digital copy even though the download often sucks, or it sucks up all your bandwidth <.<

I don't understand these complaints. Steam has never disconnected for me, nor has it deprived me of logging in in offline mode. Also, the download speed has been pretty good. It isn't constantly my internet's top speed (around 3.4 MB/s), but it's never lower than 3 MB/s.

Steam > Origin

Steam advantages -
Bigger game library
Made by Valve <3
Much nicer and more intuitive interface
More features - screenshots, game hubs etc.
STEAM SALE!

Origin advantages -
A little bit faster?
?

Honestly Origin runs really slow for me and I hate it's interface. And it's glitchier than Steam.
Forum Rules

Hey guys, lets all remember here that this is Symthic, and we are all mature enough to debate a topic without becoming emotional or insulting. Ad Hominim attacks only demonstrate that your position is weak and that you've run out of supporting evidence and serve to undermine your own position. I hope no one here drops to that level.

I got this in an email....

A must have in every home in America !For everyone who would rather not have

a gun in the house! In view of the recent Supreme Court ruling,

sales of this new product may skyrocket.Washington thinks they are going to take

away our guns, so check this out. I like it!NAIL GUNS! AND, you don't even have

to REGISTER them or have LICENSES

for them!AND, you don't have to worry about them

being CONCEALED!Just a LOT of good stuff to do with THIS! Once in a while something so totally cool

comes out that even a guy who doesn't

normally even know what he'd like for

Father's Day or Christmas would

immediately ask for it:Thank you, DeWalt!!!

New Nail Gun, made by DeWaltIt can drive a 16-D nail through a 2x4 at 200 yards. This makes construction a breeze, you can

sit in your lawn chair and build a fence.Hundred round magazine.

Someone invades your home, just nail their

ass.
