I was up in Qualicum visiting my parents yesterday, but if I'd been back in Nanaimo you would have passed very, very close by. Heck, that's still damn close by "people I know online" standards. ^^

Qualicum IS right next to the Highway 4 / Highway 19 junction.... :D

Here are the rest at Cathedral Grove if you want to see them:

Ha! My exit home from school for seven years or so. :D

Damn, I really want to go back there now. On my list for the near future.

Woah that's very cool! I don't get out to Port or Ucluelet often, but Cathedral Grove I've been to quite a bit and it's gorgeous there. Those are some beautiful cars and even better pictures. I was up in Qualicum visiting my parents yesterday, but if I'd been back in Nanaimo you would have passed very, very close by. i had to check google maps to understand.

well, why from point to city it wasn't THAT close(i mean, it still was, but not much) but by considering the trajectory he was going from/to, that was very close, like what, 5 minutes drive-by at most?

@Veritable

Would it be too much to ask you to put your wall of images in a spoiler next time?
Other than that: Cool photos, I especially like the ones of the forest :)

It's more like if you live in Bologna, and I took a drive around Emilia-Romagna and stop in Modena, took a picture of the Ferrari factory and tagged you in it 8) Maybe you've been there a million times because you're so close, but I thought that you might appreciate seeing your own landmarks through fresh eyes. I know I would!

From this:

To this:

That is at Port Alberni.

And from this:

To this:

At Ucluelet.

So, got off the 7:45AM ferry at Duke Point:

Stopped at Cathedral Grove - MacMillan Provincial Park:

To Port Alberni:

To McLean Mill National Historic Site:

To Ucluelet:

Finally made it onto the 5:45PM ferry from Duke Point back to Tsawwassen. As you can tell I love it over there, but ended up spending ~$250 for about ~50 pics, so ended up being about $5 a picture 8)

Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do eh?

I like the last picture particularly. The natural contrast and saturation of the grass is very appeasing.

Back on a bike, YAY!

She's not perfect, but she runs great. Needs: fork seals, a new spring for the side-stand, and a plastic cover for the cluster because the one on there is cracked. That's it, aside from some sprucing up. A wire wheel here or there, a touch of paint in a spot or two, maybe a bolt or two replaced... I was planning on custom painting it anyway, so no big deal.

Same as my last bike, but a year newer, half the mileage, and in much better shape mechanically. And for the low low price of $1300!

I was able to sell my last one for $1750, just as a comparison.

Bonus, since it's a 2 carb setup and when I rejet my last one I had to order jets in sets of four, I have a whole set of jets just sitting in the garage! Next day off I'll be doing the fork seals and the rejet, and once the weather gets really nice I'll take a weekend off to paint it. I'm thinking like a nice cobalt blue or something.
All bike, all the time!
