@ToTheSun!
I think Soup's post at destiny's thread defines pretty well the word "hype": Destiny

His opinion didn't matter, though, because he's an idiot and a social retard.

Anyway, when i saw "Activision" associated with it, i kind of started suspecting.

Lol, I forgot about that guy.

Personally, i don't take a stance on whether or not there is a creating entity because i'm humble enough to realize, in my fucking insignificance, the concept escapes my comprehension with a lead of 9001 light years.

Anyone trying to review Destiny at release is part of the reason the gaming press is full of shit.

Would I buy BF3 again if it came out in the state it was launched? Hell no. I'd buy it again now though.

They're reviewing a game that is designed to evolve, not a rail shooter/halo reskin thats was made to make a quick buck.

Destiny bridges the gap between RPGs like WoW that would normally be excruciatingly boring for me and modern shooters.

You're full of shit. Of course people are trying to review a game that's been released. Thats the whole point of reviews. If it's not ready to be reviewed, don't release it in such a sorry state.

Legend has it that of all the game's budget, ~80% of it were directed towards "hype".

... people are simply too much forgiving with "the game isn't good now but one day (soon™) it will be... buy season pass pls -smileyfaces-" .

Well, it might be good if it comes to Steam once it hits PC _and_ there is some kind of super mega bundle with all the DLC and whatnot that one can get on a Steam sale in a few years.

With Activision as the publisher I don't know what people expected. Inb4 AC in space over the next 10 years with 10 minutes worth of real story in every game/DLC and the rest is just useless filler.

Things people said

And reading Youtube comments still gives me Turbo Cancer.

It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.
