Hi folks! As in question - I am beginner and I want to buy a new Keyboard in the 150-200 max range. I know that should get a > 400 one but I'm student without too much money to spend.
Now had a quick look at Corsair K70
Top 5 best Gaming Keyboards - reviews on Bestadvisers.co.uk
Seems like a pretty good product
But what's the difference between the k70, k70 lux and the k70 rapidfire?
would appreciate the help

You emphatically do not need to spend more than 400 lb on a keyboard!!!!

A couple of hundred (max) will get you more than enough keyboard to last you forever.

The main things you need to consider are:

- Which key manufacturer and which style of key press/tactical response you want. Cherry seems to be the "gold standard".

- Form factor: do you want a numpad, extra macro keys, etc?

- Build quality and overall style.

I highly suggest that you go and find yourself a "key sampler" to play with and see how you like the various tactical responses available.

The corsairs are pretty good, but basically any MFG can mount OEM switches onto a PCB. I do like their aluminium frames though.

Rapidsfire has some new short actutation stroke they claim is faster than the cherry reds. The other K70s come with your choice of Cherry keys. Again, I highly suggest actually testing out the various keys before buying.

Is this related? I think so...

Hey guys, I have always been a lot at the computer, for both entertainment, work and school.

I HAVE A REALLY HURTING ELBOW now.

Usually I played at Console for the most time, but I switched to PC.

I like the pc as a platform, but I think I prefer controller as an input in the future if my arm hurts as fuck.

btw. I also switched from high dpi to low dpi mouse.

Am I the only one here?

which one? left or right? if the keyboard is the problem check one of those wireless controller thingies like the splitfish(or something of better quality)if it's the mouse, i guess a controller is the only choice, and i'd choose based on your hands: mid-size-ish to small=ps controller, "full" large and bigger=x360 controller.

I changed my basement a lot recently - a lot on the move - so i own a gaming laptop and no intention to buy a separate keyboard

Right-hand mouse - right elbow pain.

you might want to try different styles of grip, sensitivity/dpi(higher dpi is always better as long as you have matching sensitivity and not a crappy mouse), Mpad, mouse height(resulting in a different position of your arm) and so on, if none of that works, a controller is really the only choice you have, but fret not, controllers aren't THAT bad... as i mentioned a lot of times, the real fault of controllers comes in close quarters/close-mid range where reactiveness is weaker than a mouse, but everywhere else they're on par and even better as long as you're ok with wasting a good chunk of time to learn how to play well with a controller, it's especially bad learning to play with a controller for someone who is used to play fpses with a mouse.

Anybody running Steam Inventory Helper might want to uninstall it ASAP.

Piriform was just bought by Avast back in July anyways, changes are coming down the pipeline to make all their applications worthless soon enough, best to download the installer for Ccleaner and keep it on a flashdrive somewhere to prevent having to use a new version of it with a bunch of ads.

Indeed. Pretty bad sign when the first thing they did with it was put a payload in it.

TBH I never found CCleaner that amazing though. It mostly just cleaned up isntallers and the like I could have gotten rid of myself.
