For some reason, the "Battlefield" website other than the official forums does not load on my Microsoft Edge web browser. It works perfectly fine on the last edition of Internet Explorer though, so I am not sure what the issue could be.

@Adonariz

At 1m distance 27" could be pretty good even with just 1080p but it also depends on what you are used to using. For me at 1440p 27" some stuff actually look bit too small and at 1m I would have hard time reading some pages etc, and you notice how many UI things seem to be designed around 1080p monitors' PPI.

@ChineseToTheBone

Could be just Edge being Edge. I have tried it occasionally but it won't even load Bing (which it tries to use for help sites, pfft) and somethingsomething I can't even remember anymore.
Links to users' thread list who have made analytical/statistical/mathematical/cool posts on Symthic:
  • 3VerstsNorth - Analysis of game mechanics in BF4 (tickrates, effects of tickrate, etc)
  • leptis - Analysis of shotguns, recoil, recoil control and air drag.
  • Veritable - Scoring of BF4/BF1 firearms in terms of usability, firing and other mechanics.
  • Miffyli - Random statistical analysis of BF4 battlereports/players and kill-distances. (list is cluttered with other threads).
Sorry if your name wasn't on the list, I honestly can't recall all names : ( . Nudge me if you want to be included

Yeah, Microsoft Edge has been somewhat problematic for me. It was unable to track my web browsing history for the longest time until I cleared my cache.

Thanks. I haven't used anything above 1080p. I know that higher resolution monitor will be more future proof, but i'm fine with just 1080p, since the 1440p monitor is 150$ more expensive

I am wondering how to change my internet IP address as someone is DDOS attacking me on a daily basis. I have tried all the ipconfig stuff, and unplugged my modem for an hour. Not sure what to do at this point. Plugging my PC directly to the modem changes my IP, but then when I plug my PC back into my router, it changes back. I have read at myipservices.com/what-ddos-attack that VPN can help, who knows is it true?

The official "Battlefield" forums keep on giving me the "Body is 5 characters too short." error whenever I try to comment for some reason. I have tried adding more sentences, refreshing the page, and signing out of the website, but all to no avail unfortunately. Does anyone here know why that might be?

I need a gaming laptop. Suggestions?

So I'll be going out of country for a few months soon and need some portable gaming capability.

I found an offer on Amazon (Germany) that seems just too good to be true: Asus ROG GL552VW-CN446T 39,62 cm Notebook schwarz: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör

The marketplace seller doesn't have any listings, and while Amazon's marketplace is usually clean and reliable (I mean, it's not eBay) I'm not sure what to think. Could be stolen property, could be a knockoff, could be someone who's not even going to send anything at all.

Any tips or suggestions for other affordable laptops (I'd rather stay under 1000€)?

Of course, this ignores the non-constant cross-sectional first moment of area across the chest as well as non-constant material properties of the boob; it would be difficult to perform a more detailed analysis (as in, I'd have to have a shape function AND I'd need to derive a function for elastic modulus as a function of lateral breast coordinate) but whatever. It's 2am and I'm lazy.

You should also answer this question I had posed in that thread: Would you be willing to pay your surgeon more if he was going to use a chainsaw for the opening incision of surgery? Clearly using a chainsaw isn't truly suited for surgery but that doesn't really matter. If he's "skilled" enough to be able to use the wrong tools of the trade, he should be rewarded for that skill right?

960M... pretty weak.
Sorry for my bad english - it's not my native language and I have difficulties with acquiring speaking/writing practice in my country. If I accidently insult you or say something wrong - I'm sorry, you can feel free to correct me.

<1000€ won't get much stronger. Usually, that is. The seller is, according to google-fu a luxury watch retail store in Germany. Seems odd that they'd be tossing out gaming laptops at a fraction of their usual price. They're also got one with a 980M for around 500€ as well. Just doesn't seem right.

I'm also not looking to use it as my primary gaming machine. That will always be a desktop. It's for when I'm travelling. Currently that would mean when I'm visiting my wife 350km away or, as I said, when going abroad for my studies. Since the only laptop we currently have is an old VAIO with some core i3 and a geforce 230m in it, I'm sure I'll be fine with a 950 or better.

Double post not intended. Can't delete somehow?
