I highly doubt prices will drop that much. Cheapest 780 dropped like $10. 7990 is like $600-$700 while the 690 is still $999.99.

I'm not a fan of speculation or FUD (thanks to both AMD and Nvidia). I want to see official specs, benches, and MSRP, so I'll just wait the next... this much

Oh well. When is the BF4 pre-load? Supposedly the 28th? Will be refining my overclock a bit more. Need to download Afterburner beta and try to make my card go to China.

NVIDIA GTX

Y NO 690? 690 > Titan :P
VRAM limit, input lag

Sure, 6 > 2+2, but mano-a-mano 690 is still faster than titan for the same cost. If one ponders SLI, then of course SLI titan > SLI 690.

Source for input lag?

It's not 2+2, it's just 2. VRAM is mirrored, not additive. Single cards are usually better. Less headaches.

Also, dual GPU cards shouldn't be compared to single cards. Two last gen cards will always beat one current gen card.

Unless SFR is used (protip: it is not cause that would give smaller bars), multi GPU uses prerendering.

Only reasons I didn't suggest the regular Asus Z87 K-Deluxe boards is because the ricer color scheme isn't loved by everyone. But then again, I like the color schemes of of Gigabyte OC and Sniper boards, so what do I know?

My case is always closed so looks isn't that much of an issue :P They look kinda decent though :> Saw that some new cards have a "quick bios entry" button so "you don't have to spam the delete button when starting, for a quicker launch".... lol... Because it's just so much faster to crawl in, open the case, dig through all components and find a button on the motherboard (and potentially give it a static shock while you're in there) that pressing the delete button once or twice....

And, finally decided... ASUS Z87-PLUS rather than the A because of the extra sata and USB slots...
