There's really absolutely no difference between 8 and 16GB if we talk just system startup.

Different performances on loading/pre-loading memory on an already started-up computer, higher the capacity, less management and better time optimization (by a sligh margin) :)

the faster programs will boot up et cetera thanks to pre-loaded data, and of course there can be more pre-loaded stuff in memory when there's more memory. (Okey that sounded silly)
I don't agree with that statement (not completely at least). It's most probably true if we're talking about less than 4GB memory and SHITLOADS (and I mean the caps) of stuff launching at startup, but that's not really the case for majority of people.

I only bought 16GB because I sometimes experiment with self-educating myself in some Windows networking, and have two Windows Server 2008s and two Win7 clients running simultaneously in a virtual machine :D

That's not what I meant. When you run a program/software and close it, operating system frees the memory space the software was using. However it doesn't delete it and in case the same software gets loaded again all the data is already stored, thus no need to load it up all again.

  • leptis - Analysis of shotguns, recoil, recoil control and air drag.
  • Veritable - Scoring of BF4/BF1 firearms in terms of usability, firing and other mechanics.
  • Miffyli - Random statistical analysis of BF4 battlereports/players and kill-distances. (list is cluttered with other threads).
Sorry if your name wasn't on the list, I honestly can't recall all names : ( . Nudge me if you want to be included

So an extra 15 quid for a 2133MHz over a 1866MHz 8GB kit is not worth? Both are CL9 and look pretty awesum :D

I'm sticking with 8GB for now because I have never managed to fill up my 12GB on my laptop past 6GB, and I don't see the point in spending an extra 50 quid on 8GB of ram that I won't even end up using.

I have found 8 gigs of G-Skill 2400Mhz CL10 for the same price that I would otherwise get 8 gigs of 2133MHz CL11 from Corsair. I'm gonna go with them, unless there is an reason to not use G-skill?

It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

I think I'll buy a passive 80+ Pt PSU. Because fuck noise. I also want less than 60W idle consumption.
