Very handy tool you can use to give yourself a rough estimate of your PC's power needs.

Okay, I well I went over what you put down, added a few USB devices and you should easily power a 670 even with onehundred% load. Unless your PSu is several years old and has seen heavy usage.

The review probably used no GPU, if you add a 670 and maybe some other components your power consumption will be quite a bit higher.

I'd say you should have around 650w or more watts for that build (with 670), this should give you a decent amoun of headroom to overclock. But, if you are thinking of adding a dual GPU setup I think you will need at least 900w.

It is always better to get a power supply that can give more than you need, this gives you room to add more components, and it is obviously better than overloading your supply.

If it's a branded new 500w PSU you'll be fine with a 670. I have a more power hungry CPu than that and a 660, and I used to have a power hungry and overclocked CPU on the same 500w. I've never had any power supply problems.

500W is too tight for comfort for future proofing.

I'd say 600W is the sweet spot.

I can't see any point in someone who already has a working 500w PSU and isn't looking to get enough components to push it above around 400watts buying a 600 watt power supply.

Thanks. I'm not lazy and try it out by my self, and make mistake on first question about cpu count - I set up 4 :D My result was 343 wats.

About OC, I all ready say - I not mess with OC, that's why I buy locked 3570, and same will do with card.
