Prolly TeamSpeak.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

A waterfall in the desert.

Been too long since I've taken a ride up the mountain, but a massive fire followed almost immediately by monsoon season killed all my chances.

Didn't have enough time to go all the way to the top. Would have if I remembered to pack my clear shield for my helmet, only had the tinted and needed to turn around immediately after getting that picture. Made it home just as the last light was fading.
All bike, all the time!

Even if not me, at least the resident Finns :D

Picked up a set of officially approved Finnish Defence Forces M05 combat clothing, shipped straight from Helsinki. I was even able to find my name in the list of pre-printed name tags they offer! Which is weird, because I'm not even Finnish... but it's cheaper than having them custom-made, so I'll take them!

that's really your name? what trick is there to spell it? because otherwise that'd be like saying in italian "grandpa noo!" which is... yeah.
what're you gonna use it for anyway?

@iota-09

I really doubt that is his name, unless his name really is kind of a "blabla" in Finnish. (dunno better comparison for "nönnönnöö").
Links to users' thread list who have made analytical/statistical/mathematical/cool posts on Symthic:
  • 3VerstsNorth - Analysis of game mechanics in BF4 (tickrates, effects of tickrate, etc)
  • leptis - Analysis of shotguns, recoil, recoil control and air drag.
  • Veritable - Scoring of BF4/BF1 firearms in terms of usability, firing and other mechanics.
  • Miffyli - Random statistical analysis of BF4 battlereports/players and kill-distances. (list is cluttered with other threads).
Sorry if your name wasn't on the list, I honestly can't recall all names : ( . Nudge me if you want to be included

that's really your name?

:D Nönnönnöö is everyone, and yet no-one :D

Gotten new patches to denote my ownership of my new paintball marker, but my old camo shirt didn't have the velcro panels for me to stick them onto. So, found my way to Varusteleka, courtesy of Forgotten Weapons, and since Finns are cool people, I sent them money and they sent me stuffs.

Turns out that Finnish M05 JUST entered Public Domain (copyright lapsed), so this is a relatively new and fresh look. Attached is my current getup, but will be sporting the new look on Sunday, so hopefully I'll get some new pics of myself.

What did you get?

I had an opportunity to get back into paintball with a PPS SuperStocker that was nearly immaculate. Had the barrel widgets and the twin-spiral ported barrel, nickle-plated of course! Had a nick near the ASA, $200 USD (average is around $350), but I didn't want it bad enough so I passed.

I think when the time comes I'll go one of 4 ways:

Tippmann TMC mag-fed just because.
CCM T2 (was my absolutle favorite marker when I owned one, out of about 5 markers that I owned at the same time).
New model AGD RT-ULE Custom with a ULT kit.
CCI Phantom VSC.

Unless something on the used market catches my eye.
All bike, all the time!

What did you get?

Dye DAM (it even says so right on that patch :P )

I only play what is called "woodsball" or "milsim paintball;" y'know, capture the flag, retrieve the package, suppressive fire + bounding movement, that sort of thing.

As you know, though, the other spectrum is the actual SPORT of Paintball, known as "speedball," played in a regulated field and in tournament formats. That's also where the money is... and so all the technological advancements in terms of equipment kinda occurs there.

Yeah, I got my Tippmanns A5 and later X7 Phenom looking great, got the full M416 + M320 vibe going. The underslung is where I put my PP19-style helical magazine, so it's SLEEK. So it looks awesome on the field... but when you go to a big game, and you face off against the guys with speedball "space guns," you're still gonna get outgunned. Why? Because at the end of the day, what matters is projectile going downrange accurately and efficiently... and the "space guns," being professional equipments that real athletes depend their livelihoods on, are just BETTER at it.

So, this year is the first time in my adult life that I no longer have a car payment to make (my Cadillac is now paid off)... so I splurged on the DAM, which is a speedball marker (Proto Rail / Dye DM) in a milsim body. It's high-strung (it leaked brand new out of the box until I learned how to service it properly) and it's demanding (pedestrian HPA regulator's ~800psi is too plebian for it... so I had to shell out another ~$300 for a qualtiy adjustable reg that can do constant 550psi), but danged does it shoot nice 8)

I mean, look at the bolt assembly... it's beautiful (and on-topic, it brings a smile to my face when I handle it):

It also has the small features that just make sense for a paintball marker... like the lower position of the buttstock tube, so you can mount your sight normally and still get a proper cheek-weld despite wearing masks:

That also provides the room for the inline regulator + blow-forward bolt assembly to slide straight out the back... which is what that end cap you see there is for.

It's got "eyes" that prevents the marker from firing until you got a round fully in battery, so the risk of firing "out of battery" is reduced (which in paintball marker mechanics means chopping a ball in half and dumping all the paint into the chamber, a terrible mess). The trigger is even wirelessly synchronised with the motor in the Box Rotor, to prevent undue pressure on the ball stack... as it only feeds as it fires.

Yeah, it's $$$, but I liken it to a BMW (Porsche is even more apt, but I have experiences with BMWs): its value is only realised as the sum of all of its parts, plus a sprinkling of "user experience" that is difficult to value.
