Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

So the CS:GO beta starts today, I just pre-ordered in order to participate and try it out since I've never actually played any CS game extensively.
I thought it was odd there wasn't a thread about this already, since I figured quite a lot of you should have played CS at some point.

Anyone else going to play CS:GO? If so, share your thoughts on the game here, I'll be giving my opinion on beta soon.

Youtube. I wouldn't bother, though; the game is absolute horse shit.

@Apollo
You're not much better than him by just calling him a BL Troll... Why don't you just post some reasoning why you think he's wrong and this game is not horseshit but indeed awsome?

It's a low budget attempt to revive competitive counter-strike developed by, what is essentially, Valve's B-studio. Not that fun unless you're a raving fan of the original. In my experience the most enjoyable part of CS was the enormous custom map scene and the hilarious, broken func_vehicle entity, so there's really nothing in CS:GO for me

Funny enough Sudden Attack (Korean knock-off of CS 1.6 made to get around licensing issues) had a sequel that apparently plays great and is designed for competitive and televised matches. Check it out, it honestly makes CS:GO look pathetic in comparison

Entertaining indeed. Although I thought that it was overly harsh that the losing team was deported to the DPRK. But that's Korea for you. They take their games seriously.
