I have now subdued the metal elitist in me, and he shall not come out again for a long while.... I hope.
It's fine; those things needed to be said, anyway. I just hope you're not the wrong kind of elitist, lol.

I almost forgot:

Some awesomely weird stuff:

Unexpect (Avantgarde Metal)

Ihsahn (Br00tal Sax Metal Progressive Black Metal) black metal purists will bite my head off

Arcturus (Progressive Metal)

What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven from your flags, and read their lamentations in the chatbox. Lasagne are pretty awesome, too.

I used to listen to Symphony X a ton but then I just kind of got sick of them.

I recall listening to a ton of Rhapsody of Fire at the same time.

I got tired of the newer stuff. But, i mean, their older albums are pretty awesome. I guess all bands get bland with time.

Your Kyuss link is the same as the Pearl Jam's.

EDIT: OMG, has anyone heard the new album by DSO?

Best song of 2012? Best song of the century!

I've been waiting for 2 years to listen to something like this by them!

anyone interested progressive/experimental metal (or hardcore) should definitely check out Exotic Animal Petting Zoo. Their entire first album is on youtube here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4…6C&feature=plcp

One of the most underrated bands of all time. They're from about 20 minutes from where I live and they are about the drop their next full-length album next month which is going to get a ton of attention because all reviews of it so far point to it being one of the best albums of the year in hardcore/metal. I know them so I've gotten to listen to the new album already and it's really going to establish them as one of the household names in progressive/experimental metal. For fans of BTBAM, Fear Before, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Deftones, Incubus, Every Time I Die, and The Number Twelve Looks Like You

Progression - Digital_Veil_92 - Battlelog
/ Battlefield 4

If you cant find pictures of it on google it doesnt exist.
