Ah okay, but my initial assumptions were applicable for BF4, right? So you are saying that since a weapon with firerate of 900 would have Spread Decrease kick in earlier, it would profit more from SDec than a 600 ROF weapon, correct?

This was true up until the patch that changed SDEC from 15.0 for every weapon to one that was based on ROF.

SDEC no longer has a delay. It is always actively reducing your spread. This means high ROF = less time for SDEC to reduce your spread.

Like I said before, the Suomi would have 4-5 frames of recovery before firing again. The MP34 would have 7 frames worth.

Just so I understand this right: SDEC now applies *while* firing?

If that's the case, that means the spread increase from the initial shot gets reduced by (SDEC*time between shots) before the second shot is fired, so the spread of the second shot from a low RPM gun with high time between shots will have decayed notably further than with a high rpm gun. Effectively you've still got much lower SIPS with a low RPM gun then, amassing less effective spread over the same amount of shots, which would decay at the same rate as with a high RPM gun if you stop firing. (and as there's less amassed spread it would decay to the base value in a shorter time)

I don't know how "SpreadDecCoef" and "SpreadDecExp" interact, so I'm not sure what the numbers would be.

Memorable quotes not taken yet:

Of course, this ignores the non-constant cross-sectional first moment of area across the chest as well as non-constant material properties of the boob; it would be difficult to perform a more detailed analysis (as in, I'd have to have a shape function AND I'd need to derive a function for elastic modulus as a function of lateral breast coordinate) but whatever. It's 2am and I'm lazy.

I always believed science should be very hands on experience.

You should also answer this question I had posed in that thread: Would you be willing to pay your surgeon more if he was going to use a chainsaw for the opening incision of surgery? Clearly using a chainsaw isn't truly suited for surgery but that doesn't really matter. If he's "skilled" enough to be able to use the wrong tools of the trade, he should be rewarded for that skill right?

Some interesting data I'm looking here.

Interesting details:

1. The bullet velocity upgrades seem to have widely inaccurate label. its like 100 on top of 760 for a weapon like the SL1916, while the MP34 basically gets turned into an AR by going from 450 to 520 (Liking the balancing there tbh).

2. the bullet velocity upgrade actually has a vastly exacerbated effect compared to what the tag read since it substantially decreases the drag, making it, even aside from the fact that pretty much all guns have more than 10% benefit from it, that even if it was 10% the benefit of it over long range will be much, much bigger.

3. the RSC has slower bullet velocity than the model 8...Ok?

4. the liberator doesn't seem to be well fit as an actual joke weapon now. I like its inclusion as a joke weapon but I actually like my joke weapons to have a bit of flex, like the 4x hs multiplier on the kolibri, or the bow having the best 1-shot kil range of any weapons. Its deploy speed is also glaringly slow which I would expect to be the main perk of a weapon of the liberator. They should give this weapon some way to actually be usable consistently (like the Kolibri on headshots if you were running CQB with the martini), like either making this weapon ridiculously fast to deploy or making it do like 99 headshot damage, or giving it a 2-3m damage zone of 52 damage.

Also, any info on the stats of the De Lisle and Chauchat? Or perhaps info on the datamined weapons (But mostly on the campaign weapons we already know about)

Thanks for the data dump guys!

One thing that I noticed is that the sten appears to have 0 vertical recoil in any stance, but the specialization path have a "less vertical recoil" upgrade.

The Liberator uses the same .45ACP round as the M1911, and that's how it will stay. It's a humiliation weapon, use it as such. Find something to pair it with that does enough damage to make it 1HK as a finisher.

I was comparing the damage infos of assaults semi auto rifles as I noticed that the M1Carbine has two damage values for the range of 50.

M1Carbine
Damages: [30.0, 27.7800006866, 25.0, 22.0]
Dmg_distances: [35.0, 50.0, 50.0, 75.0]

Bug in collection?
Bug in BF?
How does BF deceide wether to do 27.8 or 25 dmg?

Seems to be a simulated step function like in CoD

It'll depend on how BF evaluates these things.

Some Graphs

In case anyone is interested, I drew some very rough damage profile graphs from the data dump.

Note that the scales are not the same!
