Kill Confirmation Hitmarker

Ok, I have to admit, that I havent cared about this for a long time as I prefer to leave most settings to default. But now I want to set the Hit-Marker to the BF4 orange-reddish color for Kill confirmation.

I have already set the "Perfect Shot Hitmarker" to this type of orange, but dafuq is a "Perfect Shot" ???

I want to have a orange Hitmarker as my Kill-confirmation. I thought it was implemented in the Winter-Patch, but either it doesnt work or I just dont see it for the fraction of time. I have set the Headshot marker to orange too, but thats not my initial goal. Just a hint of what I want.

Could somebody please be so nice and tell me how to set the options that I finally have the Hitmarker colored as a kill-confirmation ?

Do you play the game in German or something like that? On my (English) version the hitmarker color options are "normal", "headshot" and "killshots", in descending order in the advanced gameplay options.

Things people said

And reading Youtube comments still gives me Turbo Cancer.

It really is quite frustrating when Helen Keller sets up her LMG in the only doorway in/out of an area.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

Yes, I have set the ingame text to german! So in the English Version its already sayin' "killshots". Sorry my bad, but do you see this Hitmarker?

Maybe its just too dark and I have to make it brighter, so I can see it.

Or Its displaytime is so short I dont catch it.

test it out by making it some super obnoxious color like bright teal blue. something you can't miss.

Ok, I have tested it out with a light cyan-like blue marker and suddenly I saw it. Probably I didnt saw the Orange on top of the soldier camo.

Still, the light cyan-like blue marker doesnt really fit well into the HUD color spectre. I have to search for a different color, which fits with the Icons of the environment.

Can you recommend any RGB values and which colors do you use?

i personally use standard white for normal hitmarkers, bright yellow for headshots and bright(or was it dark? can't remember) red for killshots, also the hitmarkers are slightly bigger than standard, a little hitmarker it's less noticeable than a big one, especially when you trying to see when it changes color or when there's chaos on screen.

Yes, you can test out new hitmarker colors in the Test Range; that's what I did.

I currently use gray (50% : 50% : 50%) for normal hitmarkers, pure red for headshots (100% : 0% : 0%), and pure green (0% : 100% : 0%) for killshots. I also turn on the different hitmarker shapes for headshots.

I find that the kill hitmarker pops up too late to be useful for closer range encounters, especially with something like the AS VAL, seems like I waste ammo to make sure I've go the kill since the hit marker seems to pop up slowly but perhaps I'm not looking carefully enough or ought to change the color. Anyone else feeling like the kill hitmarker is a bit slow to pop up?

It's faster than waiting for the kill message to show up in the killfeed/pointfeed. Also I haven't noticed the kill hitmarker being delayed by any significant amount. That's one of the reasons I make the kill hitmarker a bright green; it will stand out against basically any background so I always notice when a kill has been made.
