PDWs damage

What do you guys think of giving all of the 25 damage PDWs their 25 damage back, this would be an effective way of giving them the edge over assault rifles in close quarters, because I find there is really no point taking some of these guns over assault rifles. They are meant to be good in CQB but I am beaten so often by carbines and assault rifles. They are also completely useless beyond 50m.

You know, I've had this thought often. And I feel if this coupled with a slightly further (10 meters tops) damage drop off would be a perfect solution, and would give them the edge in CQC that they seemed to have in BC2

They are also completely useless beyond 50m.

Tell me more Captain Obvious. With a range in minimum damage of 11.2 - 16 you are damn right they are useless at that range. They aren't supposed to compete with assault rifles, what ever gave you that impression anyhow? Heed Noctyrne's advice and also strafe while shooting. The penalty whilst moving so miniscule that it's more advantageous to strafe than not to strafe. And another thing, their hip-fire with a Laser Sight equipped is just slightly less accurate than their base ADS spread. If you need to ADS to attempt a shot, the target is too far to begin with. Tactically move in closer to gain the advantage.

One more thing: Conquest and Rush or Team Deathmatch and Domination?

Step 1: No. Unless you are turning it on and off constantly, which is a waste of time for the bonus you get.
Step 2: No. Aim down sight.
Step 3: No. Aim down sight.
Step 4: No. Aim down sight.
Step 5: No. Aim down sight.
Step 6: Equip suppressor because your bullet velocity is trash to begin with.

When are you hip firing? While you are moving. What happens to hip spread when moving? It becomes more inaccurate. From 1.375 to 1.5. This is terrible and the only time you should ever do that is point blank range. If you practice target acquisition from the hip and aiming down sight you will have an advantage over the filthy laser sight hip fire masses. I hope you now have the right idea.

I do like the idea of them having the 25 max damage buff.

If you practice trigonometry you get a good feeling that hipfire kicks ass.

It is not that hard to move a finger to hit one button. Unless you're brain dead of course. Or missing a few digits. But it's still a free hipfire bonus.

PDWs gain very little benefit from ADS for the ranges that they're intended to operate in.

You forgot the laser conveys a hipfire benefit.

Why waste an extra .266 seconds ADSing when you can take them down in that time hipfiring?

Also judging from your language against "the filthy laser sight hip fire masses" you are butthurt about CQB encounters you lost either due to your inability to hipfire or because of your inability to counter it.

@NoctyrneSAGA

No, I win most of my CQB encounters because I ADS. It's like watching people try drop shot me on COD 4 or nade spam me in BF2. Stop and pop and they die. The ADS bonus is far from little, it's double the accuracy. You waste bullets if you hipfire. You aren't taking down more than 2 people with an MP7 in CQB if you hip fire both of them. You can kill about 4 people if you ADS. Hip fire is for panic situations and point blank ranges. Nothing more. I called them filthy masses just because everyone sticks a laser on their gun without a second thought, and then gets popped out of the background like they are wearing Christmas lights.

Cool. In the same amount of time it took you to ADS, you could have just hipfired him to death.

The ADS bonus is far from little, it's double the accuracy.

Double accuracy != double efficiency

MPX + Laser + Comp + Ergo

Man, I'm really feeling the benefit of "doubled" accuracy at ranges where PDWs are supposed to suck.

You waste bullets if you hipfire.

If you hipfire outside of CQB.

Only because they're too brain dead to learn when to turn it on/off.

Step 6: Equip suppressor because your bullet velocity is trash to begin with.

This is the only step that remotely makes any sense Just kidding, it's all nonsensical. The Laser Sight is a must have; it lends a 0.67x reduction in standing hip spread and a whopping 0.75x in crouch and prone hip spread. It isn't just for show.

The standard ADS base spread for PDWs is 0.4 (bullpups 0.45) with a 1.0 spread for hip-fire. Slap on a Laser Sight and suddenly that 1.0 becomes 0.67 which is just 0.27 more than the base ADS spread. Factor in the time shaved off from not needing to ADS and you have a clear advantage in close range firefights. So hip-fire or use a different weapon class.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho
