4th shot accuracy

question guys:

currently for our some of our models we assume that after two consecutive horizontal recoil movement in the same direction, the third one has to be in the other.
this gives an interesting problem

possible movement after first two shots with equal probability (affecting 2nd and 3rd round)
LL
LR
RL
RR

but after the 3rd shot the probability of a direction switch is high (75% see table below). A direction switch reduces horizontal deviation by quite a bit and returns the aimpoint closer to the actual centre of target.
the resulting movements are
LLR (25%)
LRL (12.5%)
LRR (12.5%)
RLL (12.5%)
RLR (12.5%)
RRL (25%)

after the 4th shot the direction switch is less likely (62.5%).

implying that the difference in overall deviation (horizontal and spread) is not that big between 3rd and 4th shot ( which benefits from the direction reversal)

is this to be expected in-game also?

Interesting. I wonder if this leads to improved aim or overcompensation of H recoil.

Could you draw the distributions of the aimpoint locations after each shot? This needs to be assessed with appropriate random values coz H recoil magnitude randomness (like in your excel sheet).

We really need to get going with the video analyses of BF4 recoils to test the current ideas and models.
