Sensitivity setting on PS4

First post here! Been reading these forums for awhile now and must start off by complimenting the Symthic community for a very informative and well moderated forum! The Symthic charts and these forums have become my main source of bf4 information.

My question is about the sensitivity setting. I have found little information about this other than having a low setting will make it easier for beginners. I was horribly bad when I started playing bf3 on ps3 during the summer and have had the sensitivity setting at 20% since then. I have improved a lot as player while playing bf4 since launch and consider myself slightly above average now. I recently switched to ps4 and since I apparently need to re-learn some things now I have also been thinking about changing the sensitivity setting. Question is: Will slowly raising the sensitivity setting allow room for more improvement or is it solely a personal preference?

That's what I did - turned it down when I moved from Xbox360 to Ps4, and now am slowly turning in back up again. Basically once I feel happy with my control of fav guns I move it up a couple of clicks.

Ultimately though it's personal preference. I like it keep it rather low. I get knifed more often, but I think it makes me a stronger mid-range player (which is where I always try to play).
I like the fact that my name implies I am a Scottish, Counter Strike loving, girl.

Not all of these are necessarily true

Welcome, officially, to the Symthic Community!

And to your question, absolutely. An increased range of movement will greatly enhance your infantry combat. I began in a similar fashion on the PS3 and PS4; 20 increments to 40 increments (as BF3's system did not include digits).

Do not rush the process, though. Allow your muscle memory to adapt to the increased sensitivity in due time. Once you are consistent with the current sensitivity, make slight adjustments to intoduce a change and continue the same procedure.

I remain comfortable and consistent at 40%, but that is my setting. Yours may prove higher or lower depending on the gameplay you prefer. Hope this helps.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

Thanks! And yes it helps, I will proceed to increase the sensitivity setting by 1-2 points per week or some such. I'm intrigued to hear u think infantry combat will benefit, since it's especially my CQ infantry combat I want to improve right now. I often see the target, but can't get on target fast enough to survive..

Same boat here. I was using the default of 20 but it felt sluggish so I bumped it up to 50 and felt too twitchy. Backed it off to 35 and it feels about right to me. I got used to the jump within 1-2 rounds. I would recommend trying for a big jump and play a couple rounds. You might be surprised how quickly you get used to it. Oh and get some fps freeks. Seriously. Do it.

I just try my best to keep a ~42 sensitivity across all games.

For many reasons.

Yeah, I like mine at 75 too. It's terrible in 95% of the situations I encounter, but it's great for 360 no scopes.

Why terrible? Quicker reactions
