For bayonet:
The time increase to get to a shooting-ready position after sprinting with bayonet is the only effect of using the bayonet.

As for the bipod the effect varies slightly depending on the weapon, but generally: Spread increase is decreased by ~70%, spread increase is decreased by ~40%, min/max spread while HIP firing is reduced by ~50% and recoil is reduced by ~75%.

I'm guessing it just wasn't his area and he was a bit misinformed (which is entirely understandable with this), but I definitely saw a DICE dev say that the Bayonet affects recoil fairly recently.

I quoted a DICE guy, but don't know if they have changed the mechanics of bayonet since then.

I spoke to the actual weapon designer and it does *not* affect recoil, only the shooting-ready time. There's an erroneous DICE blog post online unfortunately.
