The benefit of Hunter ver for shotgun?

Just as the title suggested, what is the main benefit of hunter ver? Is the choke only helping in ADS for longer range and have a wider spread in hip just like BF4's full choke? Or is it work in a different way?

BF1: | BF1 Multi-Weapon Comparison | Symthic

check the pellet srpead(dispersion angle)
now check tha ads spread.

you should have figured out already, that hunter gives higher accuracy, a tighter pellet spread, but usually the same "normal spread"
this, in an ironical twist of events, also makes the chance of error in case you hipfire or have high ads spread,as if you miss slightly, you have a higher chance of missing every pellet compared to if you had a higher pellet spread, with which you could have got like, half&half
paint example:

Spoiler Spoiler

not in scale*

i don't know how to explain that though, i just understand that basically, the higher pellet spread in close quarters can grant you a slightly higher chance of injuring your enemy as hunter(first sample) may or may not be able to only hit only the arm, while factory(second sample) can or can not hit even the body, though it also has a higher chance of completely missing.
this is obviously useless at higher ranges, unless you're shooting down birds, as that's the whole idea behind "birdshot".

ps.: obviously this means that if you want to use a hunter variant either you ads spread or count on your luck when hipfiring, where you might get either a total miss or a one shot kill.(note: doesn't mean the same can't happen with other variants, but that's just rnjesus for you)

Quoted

check the pellet srpead(dispersion angle)
Now, this is what I don't understand. The comparison you give was perfect. The model 10 A hunter show the benefit perfectly. But the main different is for the other two shotgun. Take a look at this
BF1: | BF1 Multi-Weapon Comparison | Symthic
(I exclude the sweeper for M97 since it is a totally different gun.)
Beside the Extended for Auto 12G change the angle. The backbored ver for M97 and Auto 12G offers the same dispersion angle, same spread, and supreme recoil overall than the hunter ver. On the paper, the hunter ver was useless. Since DICE know how to balance shotgun I can only assume there are something else worth for hunter ver on this two shotty. But I don't know clearly what it is.

you forgot to check the damage model.

the damage model and backbored versions is much worse even if still usable considering the lowered recoil(this obviously is useless on the m97)

Hunter is weird on the M97 and Auto-5, as in concept it's basically Factory, but without the Factory spread benefits.

i feel like they buffed the backbored variants just a tid bit too much, before they wereuseless, but now most of them are superior to to the hunter variants in almost every way and scenario.

Yeah, now I find what is the main different for backbored and Hunter... Hunter has 2M damage drop-off advantage than Backbored has. But I doubt this can make up the recoil advantage Backbored provide since both of this shotty rely on the second shot on the target though....

your characters weapon, It's attached to the muzzle rather than screwed into the barrel. it elongates the mass of pellets giving a more condensed dispersion at point of impact.
Imagine you're throwing a handful of lucky charms at someone, with the choke you're throwing it in a way that the charms stay close to each other all the way to person rather than spread out with some missing them.
