They got the FAMAS and F2000 rate of fire backwards. I understand mistakes, but Visceral keeps making them and never fixes them. L85 and UZI will probably never be fixed and neither will this situation.
oooh, they did a LOT more wrong than screwing up the fire rates.

Look at the side by side.

Just look at it. I know it will hurt, but just look at it

LITERALLY the only thing the Famas has over the F2000 is a microscopic accuracy increase. And mind you, it has 2.5x the spread increase per shot so it wouldn't matter anyway.

It is like every weapon was balanced by a different person for a different game. Nothing makes sense. EVERYTHING is backwards. it is absolutely horrible. And DDD, in spite of constantly talking with the community, is as willing to listen as a brick wall, which might be because he is as dense as one.

I mean, how the heck did they miss this. These are the 2 weapons which are supposed to be eachother faction equivalents, but SOMEHOW he forgot to put them in a side-to-side comparison. Or worse, he did so and in some aneurysm fueled stroke he concluded he dindu nuffin wrong.

it having 0.3 spread increase per shot.

Of course, this pales in comparison to the Famas having .5 spread increase per shot

And the L85 having .9 per shot because Decimals are hard

Is it just me or does the RPK kinda just make the AKM irrelevant? Like it's got slightly more recoil but it's got a faster reload and a much bigger magazine. Plus it can do the stock/stubby combo.

Nevermind that the RPK should actually less recoil but whatever.

I can't even imagine what 0.9 SIPS looks like. We had a glimpse of 0.6 SIPS on pre-buffed SR338, the shots would deviate hilariously...and that was a 150 RPM gun.

They got the FAMAS and F2000 rate of fire backwards. I understand mistakes, but Visceral keeps making them and never fixes them. L85 and UZI will probably never be fixed and neither will this situation.

instead of fixing the problems, they just keep covering it up with new broken content, which they have the cover up even more.

That could be because 99.99% of their target audience (PS4 and XBO players) don't care about broken weapon stats. If I was in Visceral's shoes I would be doing exactly the same thing. New maps/guns sells DLC, makes money and draws attention (news sites).

Hell even DICE is responsible for that in BF4 to an extent, it infuriates me they had the nerve to spend any kind of resources on new guns and maps when there are hundreds of existing issues (minor and major) that need addressing.

Welcome to Visceral's balance kiddo.

Enjoy your rage, confusion, and loss of hope in game designers :-)

Welcome to Visceral's balance kiddo.

Handsome Jack influence spotted

No but seriously, at least I understand what Visceral's ideology behind balancing their weapons are; it makes me sympathise with them a little. Doesn't mean I agree with it though. Actually scratch that, it's borderline terrible balancing.
something something Model 8 bestgun

How to ice an A-91

Next, wanna try adding a guy that you KNOW is bad, and just testing to see that? Example: PP-2000 (god I so wanna love this gun, and yet...)

Example: PP-2000 (god I so wanna love this gun, and yet...)

PP-2000 added. Y'know, it's not that bad....

Yes, it comes in last so far, but that is mostly because I'm making it shoot at 100m ADS - Not Moving as one of the criteria. Even then, between 50-100m Not Moving, when you include Useability, it is only 1.37% worse than the MTAR-21. Within 50m then it even beats the A-91.

Have a look, vs. the A-91 Carbine:

Using it with Muzzle Brake and Compensator is a wash in terms of overall performance. Comp is SLIGHTLY more accurate, while MB is SLIGHTLY more easy to use. Their overall scores are basically tied, with MB just ahead. I guess either can be recommended.

But... You can't be counting for the fact that it takes 9 bullets to kill at "long" range... Don't you dare tell me my A-91 is worse than a 9 BTK 650 RPM mediocre PDW.

Also. Just go heavy barrel. The recoil is low enough.

Well, technically...

Comparing a PP2K with HB and an A-91 with comp and stubby (as you suggested in an earlier post), at 50m not moving, the A-91 is only better by 4 damage per hitrate. While at 75m and 100m, surprisingly the PP2K does better than the A-91 (I'm pretty damn surprised as well).

And 10m and 50m moving the PP2K also does more damage per hitrate than the A-91. At 25m the A-91 is only better by about half a bullet's damage as well.

In addition, the PP2K has a much larger mag size and substantially less recoil. And it looks hella awesome. So comparing the A-91 to a PDW is of some worth after all, as the PP2K is better (technically, not practically) than the A-91.

Mind blown.

I... I...

*cries in a corner*

Zer0Cod3x explained it very well. If you look at the raw numbers right here on Symthic Comparison, you can see how that happened:

A-91 vs PP-2000 | BF4 Weapon Comparison | Symthic

A-91's "23%" RPM advantage only afforded it 1 extra round.

Reload times are wash.

Velocities are wash.

V-Recoil are wash (and this is HBar on PP2k vs. A-91 without).

Hipfire and ADS - Moving are better on the PP2k, but it's a PDW and not the surprising part.

The surprising part is that, as equipped (and we see above that PP2k HBar has almost same V-Recoil as A-91 without HBar so why not?), the PDW performs better at 50 - 100m than a bloody Carbine. Why?

H-Recoil Spread, 0.525 vs. 0.45, advantage PP2k.

SIPS, 42% better on the PP2k.

And here is the most important part. ADS - Not Moving Spread, 0.35 vs. 0.2, 43% improvement.

Without HBar then of course the PP2k loses, which is why when I add all the attachments together for an Overall Ranking, it would slot below the A-91. Run HBar on it, though, then... I'm sorry

Actually I was just saying that, interesting catch though.

I understand their ideology just like I understand why someone may be a racist; they were brought up that way as a child, a person of a certain race ruined their life and they are holding a grudge, etc... But I can't agree with it. They're wrong. In a multiplayer game the guns should be balanced to all be good at certain ranges, or be better at a certain thing than it's identical range component (BF4's AR160 vs. CZ-805 is one of the best balanced examples of two similar weapons). Visceral has no idea about that, and honestly is absolutely incompetent.

L85's SIPS was not fixed in the last patch. It is STILL .9 instead of .09.

Hooooollllleeeeey ssssssheeeeeeeiiit.

I'm not so sure it will even come. From his last HL videos it seemed like he was pretty much done with the game.

What kind of question is that? Since when is cheese ever a bad idea?

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.
