the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

Well, it's pretty likely that DICE is in charge of the Multiplayer while Visceral has control of the Campaign. Not confirmed, by my knowledge, but probably true.

I think DICE has its hands full with BF4 and SWBF atm. I wouldn't be surprised if they let Visceral handle MP as well.

So that attack jet in the one trailer... Hopefully it's just a single player moment. Because attack jet > any of the other vehicles shown. Plus it's pretty bizarre that police would have an attack jet, or thieves for that matter... Unless they stole it from the military, then those thieves are set. I'm actually pretty interested in this game now. Not 100% sold yet but getting there. It would be funny if you could cuff people in multiplayer, the amount of trolling that could ensue. Step 1: Sneak up on a camping Operator (Recon). Step 2: Cuff them. Step 3: T-bag them for the lols.

US Military vs China vs Russia, Allies vs Axis, European Union vs Pan Asian Collection... they are just skins and voiceovers to me. I loved playing Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 and 2, I loved Metro, Seine, Bazaar and DOM in BF3, I enjoy urban combat. This looks like a way for the Battlefield franchise to focus on team (squad) based infantry combat, and I for one am excited to see what they come up with. Tanks and planes are what originally set Battlefield 1942 apart from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and that new Call of Duty franchise. I think that between the features of the Frostbite engine (3d spotting, the environment destruction, etc) and the squad based play we have experienced in BF3 and BF4, that the game developers have enough to stand on for a more infantry-centric game. Maybe some matches in Hardline are more like the GTA series where you have car chases, or street shootouts, bank heists and that sort of thing, which allow for your bushwookie friend to grab a bolt action and head to a roof top. I think that game modes like Rush can be hard to balance because the teams are not on an even footing, I think a bank heist style of game could get very imbalanced very quickly. I am more interested in playing a CQ or DOM style of game, essentially TDM with static capture points, I want to shoot people, defend areas, not have to worry about moving an objective that everyone is focusing on.

I am excited to see what Hardline is all about. I hope it does not get to gimmicky, and I can't wait to see how they implement tazers.

I have troubles with the discussions about the graphic design and the scenario. When I first saw the C&C screenshots of their Frostbyte game, my first thought was: Battlefield! When I played Mirror's Edge again, two years ago I was suprised how close the animations of vaulting were compared to BF3, and that was with the UE3. Of course the same assets will be used in all games with the same engine and so on. Frostbyte looks great and will continue to do so in a new game, just because of reused assets, the fun will not be broken at all.

As far as the scenario goes there is no real tactical shooter with a civil scenario, bar Payday, so there is a lot of space to cover. Potentially this could be great if done right and can fit the franchise.

However after seeing the gameplay videos I am much more concerned about the gameplay mechanics and the features. Honestly this looks too much like BF4 to me with with different factions. The inauthenticity, I've said this before, is really bothering and disturbing. If they want a Battlefield experience with another setting this is fine, but mashing it up totally and just to please a broad audience is the wrong way to go in my opinion, especially one year after the release of BF4, which is still in an update cycle. If they just want to recycle the engine and replace it with a clone, the developers will likely drain the franchise instead of adding something.

What wqould have been wrong with doing something completely unique for the franchise apart from the setting? Making it into a coop-focused shooter like payday or a tactical police shooter like the Rainbow Six series? There are dozens of ways to bring something new to the Battlefield series, but I do not see replacing tanks with equally armed police cars or added miniguns and grenade launchers for each vehicle is not a potential asset to Battlefield.
