Laser, Holo, Buckshot and no choke for the time being as I haven't had a chance to properly try them all out yet :)


Why holo?


Meh, for some reason I seem to do better with it than I do with any other 1x sight. I put it down to the big circle and the line beneath the aim point either allowing me to aim with it quicker or focus on it easier. Never gotten to the bottom of it though :P

I ran M1014 slugs before the patch. You can't beat that double tap quick kill (well you can alot, but it was the closest I got to a deagle). One shot headshot range was nifty. The drop you get used to.

Just found this post from Zormau from May regarding the CTE changes:

Gun spreads with chokes:

Modified choke penalty: 1.25x ADS moving spread -> 0.5 moving ads penalty for pumps and semi auto with ergo grip, 1.0 moving ads penalty for semi auto without ergo grip
Full choke penalty: 1.5x moving ADS spread, 1.2x standing hip spread, 1.5x moving hip spread -> 0.6 moving ads penalty for pumps and ergo equipped semi autos, 1.2 moving ads penalty for semi autos without ergo grip, 1.5 min hipspread standing, 1.875 min hipspread moving for semi autos with ergo grip, 2.25 min hipspread moving for all others

Pellet cones with chokes (thanks to Labby):

Multipliers:
Modified: 0.875 for pellet cone size
Full: 0.75 for pellet cone size

Buckshot + modified = 2.1
Buckshot + full = 1.8

Flechette + modified = 1.75
Flechette + full = 1.5

Are these stats still the same? If this is true then I'm going to have to start running with the modified choke because there is no hip penalty!

Only if you are really careful with your spread increase, because semis got a lot of that, while pump shotguns basically have no recoil (decreases during pump animation).

Only two shotguns you need to use: hawk with full choke, buckshot. Dbv12 with full choke , buckshot, angled grip. Two other shotguns that are great to use are qsb09 and saiga12.
