I might incur viper wrath here but I think it's the worst. Not only does it have the longest reload and slowest Rpm, but that goddamn front sight post blocks so much of your optic it makes having them nearly useless. I haven't tried using higher zoom sights but I assume it blocks those too.

The real problem here is that by default this makes the 240B and PKP 1st and 2nd respectively by default, since there isn't any other 7.62 lmgs, which is a travesty.

M60 needs a buff. I say give it 200 rounds. Or remove that stupid front sight.

...I like you Bitework so let's talk about this...

*Removes fangs*

The front post is and will always be a preference thing. I can say with whole-hearted honesty that if you play normally and just focus on the game at hand you will cease to notice it entirely! When people started complaining about the front post I had to load up the Test Range before I posted cos I didn't think it was there :P
The sight is gone on higher magnification sights (although I should really go and check a second time, its been a long time since I've used a 3.4 or 4x :P ).

The reload is long, cool looking but long. I don't really think it affects the gun too much mind, I'm not sure if its just having played so much Support that I now choose when and where to reload or have gotten extremely good at reload-cancelling on instinct but I can't place a single time in recent memory where I've ran into trouble while reloading. You've got a high damage weapon with extreme accuracy and a massive magazine so you shouldn't be needing to reload all that much anyway :)

And speaking of damage and fire rate: Don't forget that the M60 still out shoots pretty much every other standard damage model weapon up to >800RPM due to its 34-25 model!
As for the other MMGs its a lot more accurate than the stats give it credit for, mainly because its low fire rate allows for extremely easy recoil compensation which leads to significantly higher accuracy than the M240B and even higher accuracy than the PKP. Also don't forget the other perks the M60 has going for it over the other two, looking at the finer details you'll see it has the best overall spread and lowest spread increase of the MMGs which allows it to retain a good level of accuracy above its competitors! That's one I like that a few people often miss ;)

Saying its the worst isn't really fair, its more accuracy-focused than the other two but I wouldn't say that makes it the worst. Could be a preference thing mind :P

Everybody's Favourite Worthless Support and LMG Fan!

One can not go wrong with the m60. Treat her right and she will be more loyal than "Babe" I would rec try running her naked. She isnt ashamed of her size. cuz
She's a big girl
And its gone too far

Fair enough, I've been using the PKP the last few matches I played I think ill force myself to give the m60 equal consideration. I suspect once visual recoil is fixed and bipod isn't retarded by suppression I'll enjoy these lmgs more.

Someone somewhere mentioned the holo sight and I must say it really helped me with the front post. The coyote is quite low profile thus I couldn't stop noticing the irons.

That front post thing was a deal breaker for me. When you ADS walk up stairs, a hill, strafe a corner etc. it blocks your view of what's below center (your red dot), so it's hard to see prone or crouched players - which is also my main gripe with using irons, only being able to see above your aiming-point has it's disadvantages.

I prefer the M240b and PKP PF Changs.

I'm looking forward to the IR-NV or FLIR scope with this baby. I get the feeling that despite my success with the iron sights, the style of the IR-NV scope will help target acquisition and tracking.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

I would highly recommend the FLIR or IRNV. It really comes into its own once acquired.

Until that time, I like the M145 because it's the only sight that puts the POA over the FSP to a significant degree.

Yeah I just discovered how fantastic the flir is for LMG's. I was struggling with the M60's front post and went to the PKP this week. I only had the FLIR and potato via battlepack but that seems to be enough. FLIR is pretty sick on caspian shooting thru the foliage! Just the right amount of zoom. I also gave up on the bipod, sadly it's too unreliable to deploy in bf4, which is sad, cause it worked so well in bf3 i thought.
