I actually had a bit of fun trying to hit the moving targets on the shooting range with the SRAW. It totally works.

I don't think it will be good for taking out snipers, you're going to have to stand in line of sight of the sniper in order to guide the rocket into them. I guess maybe if they weren't looking in your general direction it would work.

It might not be suited for taking out snipers at extreme ranges, but it is effective against infantry at the 100-150m range (my approximation).
If I'm running engineer I will have a carbine or a PDW. They are not the best of tools for long range kills, and the target might get into cover well before I put 6 carbine bullets in him.
Using the SRAW, he won't even know what hit him.

Not if the sniper is standing still. You can always shoot the rocket in the air first. Then aim the sniper.

You don't need to maintain your aim to where you want it to land ?
I think about walls and ground. I assume you have to continually guide it to hit a moving target.

I'm a battlefield player, good sir. I don't play metro.

PC is no longer PC master race. It's PC mustard race, because consoles need to ketchup :'D

DICE gave so much into making commander better, but lemmings be lemmings I guess.

As a good guy that don't want to use overly glitched weapons, I'll quit using the MTAR and switch to the ACWR until it's fixed

The world needs more people like you

+1, I think we're all in agreement that more MrT3as would be an awesome thing
Although if that was the case they'd use up so much of the world's awesome that there'd be none left for the rest of us! :D

yes, I know, I'm a big-ass hypocrite

And the SRAW can be laser locked onto things when you just want to fire and forget.
A lot of the advantages of the RPG/SMAW + Advantages of Laser Lock
Is it any wonder its the last unlock for Engi?

It's still a high skill weapon so I don't see it knocking out the LAW for the top spot on most servers.

People were saying this initially about the AT4 in BC2 as well but it never gained much popularity. The SRAW is a launcher that opens up a lot of possibilities but it also requires you to play in a certain way since you'll be exposed when firing. Exposed in a way that spells doom for the average player that just going in gung ho.

This was extremely informative, thanks. I did not realize that the SRAW maintained the ability to lock onto a surface without continuous, manual designation.

A similar philosophy applies to its general function as well. I have received success with the SRAW through indirect aiming (this logic is approved for the HJ-8/ TOW launchers as well). Essentially, you aim up and away from your target and then swing the missile toward the target for any land or air based vehicle.

Direct aiming often hampers the missile's trajectory especially when you need to adjust your aim. Launching away from the vehicle allows you opportunity to tweak your aim point without having the missile veer off course.

Matimi0's style is far more complicated and requires infinitely more practice. I would avoid it, but it may be the ideal system.

I have not experimented with the vertical rocket theory on helicopters, but it may prove even more effective than the "swing" technique.
To Aim Assist or not to Aim Assist, that is the question.

Nope. Aim Assist or bust; here's why:

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

The concepts in the vid above is certainly interesting but only realistic for a completely static target. Which is why it is likely captured on the test range, in an actual game the conditions are rarely as square as to allow you to do the above.
