ease of use vs statistically better setups

VERY simple question
TOP PROS (example MEYEK, JJIKA, RELAA, 2EASY, UNFIXED) in the beginning used setups that were very easy to use over statistically better setups.
is this because statistically better setups (ex. ace with stubby/stubby-hb) have a very smallish advantage over ease of use setups (ex. ace/scar with angled-comp/angled-mb) ?
or is because 90% or so of competitive matches were headglitching making muzzlebrake and easier setups the way to go.......
hmmmmmmmmmm

example - MEYEK destroyed his compitition with ergo/mb on the ace 23 and those are two attachments you wouldnt recommend statistically regardless of his playstyle. he still prefer that setup to this day but sometimes prefers to run it without the MB.

Whatever works best and gives the best result for you is the best setup for you. This is true for plenty of fields outside of weapon selection in video games.
Who has fun, wins.
