Maybe around 3x as much damage vs. helicopters?

That sounds like a good ballpark. I've been trying to shoot air as much as I'm able with IFVs recently to get a feeling for current effective, practical, in-game performance, but the damn turret elevation just makes it so rare to get any shots on target at all. Just a few more degrees up and down would do wonders; I actually think down is the more important one.

Down would be a little more problematic though: could run the risk of hitting yourself if the max. negative angle is too steep, especially for the LAV-25 and ZBD-09 where the turrets are mounted father back than with the BTR.
Edit:
@labby
I was thinking more like 2.5x. 3x seems like it'd be too good if you managed to land the whole cone (not hard with its spread) on subsequent shots.

And a few more regarding the MAA/IFV:

-Fix aim being thrown completely off centre when struck by something. Shots become misaligned from the crosshair and take 3 - 5 seconds to correct when hit by another vehicle or driving full tilt across potholes. I mean I'm fine with impact throwing the guns off, but why isn't the crosshair aligned with the guns?
-Fix LAV-AD's off-centre aim. That goes for the BTR-90 too (I think?)
-Minor bugs like the Tunguska and Type 95 AA being able to resupply nearby friendlies even without the Resupply Unit perk.
-MAA and IFV sliding when parked on many dirt surfaces. Problem is most significant on uneven ground but it happens on even ground as well. Especially prevalent on Paracel Storm where you can sit more or less level to the ground and the vehicle will still continue to slide sideways as though the wheels/treads had no grip whatsoever.
-TV missile creating giant potholes in the ground. Why is this a thing?

The best thing to do against Helis with an IFV is to just switch to the MG and shoot them down. if they are close to you the MG can take them down pretty quick if you don't miss much. you will at least drive them off. with scout helis just aim for the cockpit if they are hitting you with 25mm or laserguided missiles. sometimes the pilot dies and the chopper just lands itself. then you can steal it :)

Like the final kill in Cod TDM

Yes.

I believe it was/ is a technical limitation since even though COD can do it it take quite a bit to do since considering you would need something like battle recorder to record and store that death for 32 players at a any point in time so yeah.
Apparently we do have a facebook... You should go ahead and like it

Oh look and a twitter... Yeah follow us there too pls

If only people would talk back it wouldn't be so lonely.[In B4 I get overwhelmed]

Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

TL;DR: all vehicles in BF4 are screwed up in some way or another.

I know I shouldn't be surprised that something like that even exists but.... 8|

That's a shame
Has DICE ever said why a battlerecorder would be so hard to implement? Depending on the magnitude of the recording (i.e. record last 10 seconds fps perspective before death vs a whole match of all players' coordinates etc), it could be used for pretty awesome things.

Yeah the IFV vs. Air is an issue for me as well. I remember hitting a volley of 5-6 shells at a scout on Dawnbreakerand doing only 30 damage or so, while it should have been destroyed. The SMG of the driver is way more effective, let alon the gunner seat.

I believe it was three hits with the sabot rounds in BF3 killed a scout. This is too much considering how easy they are to take down in BF4 comparably, but a volley of six should kill a scout and AH.
