Things that I support


Hardline is a fun and sometimes silly Cops and Robbers sorta thing and I think that's great. Or it would be if it didn't suck.

C looks like the result of a "who can design the most generic map possible?" contest. A looks a bit weird, but maybe it's supposed to be higher on one side or something; we lack more info there. I quite like B though.

I really wanted to like C, but it is guilty of Battlefield Map Design Sin #1. ---> ONLY ONE OR TWO EXITS FROM THE UNCAP.

So for that reason alone I cannot vote for C.

A and B both look good. I wish we knew more about what vehicles will appear on each. Also I wish there was some hint at elevation or various geographic features present or not present. I'm leaning towards B because at least we have evidence of significant buildings at each flag, whereas we're just left to wonder if unique features are present on nondescript flags like "Jungle Clearing" on A.

I voted B. A solid 4+ routes onto the map from each uncap and the most "stuff" on the map.

A could be great. It does vaguely resemble one of my favorite Battlefield Vietnam maps; Operation Hastings. Bear with me here, I rotated the original BF:V map 90 degrees clockwise and then labelled the flags how they appeared back then, but the shape and flow of the map appear to be very similar, except for the D flag.

In both Maps, C is Temple Ruins, E a Fishing village, and the US Side's Gimmie flag both times is a "Jungle Clearing".

A look to be terribly balanced but seems to be quite cool, might end up like lumphini garden, C it's way too genereic to be appreciated but might be balanced, like dolmud, personally, i'd vote B by exclusion.

B looks really unbalanced. US will have a HUGE advantage based on A's position. C looks like the closest to balanced but potentially bland.

Battlefield 4 Community Map Project Update

The Battlefield 4 Community Map is soon in production! Thanks to your help and input, we are nearing the end of the concept phase. However, before we start building the map with you on the CTE we need your vote on one final aspect – choosing a Map Concept.



Community Map Project Roadmap – this poll result marks the end of the concept phase.

Based on the latest poll results and our high level framework we have created three distinct concept options for our Jungle map for you to vote on.

PICKING A CONCEPT FOR THE COMMUNITY MAP

The idea with having three concept options is to incorporate the previous poll results and ideas, while still maintaining three distinctly different map layouts and settings.

We chose to focus each of the concepts around one of the top 5 Points of Interests, and of course they all include a waterfall – after all, this was the top rated Point of Interest!

GUIDE US IN DEVELOPMENT

Just to clarify – the picked concept will be used to guide our development and to help us lock down what type of art resources and objects we need. It does not mean we can’t change things if we realize something doesn’t work out or just plays badly when testing it in the production phase.

The vote will however guide us in what type of map will be made – and the end result should feel similar to what you pick here!

With this, I'll rid MGO3 of infestation. Sans bad gameplay MGO3 will be torn asunder. And then it shall be free. People will suffer, of course - a phantom pain.

A - Sounds like a really cool layout, but doesn't seem very balanced

B - Basically Golmud Railway rotated 45 degrees - Seems to be the most "in the thick of it"

C - The most balanced, but seems like it would be the most boring option
