the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

What's with these 1-point max damage nerfs? So at close ranges everyone regardless of using defensive perk or not will be killed with 5 bullets (e.g. 24 max dmg)? WHY? ?(

On a side note: Yay SCAR-H SV gets buffed! But then I have to adapt again to the new velocity (already got used to 500m/s...) :|

Ouch, they absolutely murdered the SCAR-H, Bulldoge, UMP-45, and ACE 52. I could understand them nerfing just one of the max dmg or min dmg, but both? Looks like I'll have to put all 4 of these weapons away for good.

SR-2 and MPX will now dominate even more, as they are they only two that kept a 4HK when all the others are now 5HK. This whole -1 damage adjustment is really stupid, I can't believe they went through with it. I thought for sure they would scrap it for the retail patch.

One more thing: RIP f2000 and g36c.

With the game being pretty balanced before, it was actually difficult to choose which gun to go with out of so many good options. Now there are 6 less to choose from, so that makes gun selection a little easier. Thanks DICE! For the rest of BF4, I'll be using SR2, MPX, A91, and L85 almost exclusively.

Because it's the perfect, indirect nerf to armor. Defensive now does pretty much jack shit against automatics and practically only affects BAs and shotguns at close range, as it should. Well, that and people were crying for longer TTK and it is meant to partly offset the faster feedback from the high-frequency update.

The 7.62mm weapons are just as effective at medium range as before, which really is what they should be good at. They are no longer as potent across all ranges as they used to be.

You must have read the F2000 and G36C changes wrong: the F2000 is now really good and no longer has excessive Hrec in exchange for a small useability nerf (Vrec); the G36C is just as accurate as before but being slightly harder to use (but it is still easy to use).

Overall, gun balance is better than ever.

silencer muzzle velocities gets a big bump on a lot of weapons that needed it.
SV98 gets 9.81m/s^2 gravity instead of 15m/s^2? Guess I can use it now, that thing dropped lead weights out of its barrel before.

Except they could have just nerfed the defensive perk directly (or never put it in the game at all...) and stuck with the weapon damage model that everyone seemed to be totally fine with in BF3.

The H-recoil is only slightly better, hardly any different. The v-recoil change outweighs it, and the gun went from a fringe-competitive weapon to an outclassed one. The G36C at launch had stupid recoil, then it got appropriate recoil, and now it has gone back to stupid recoil. 0.25 to 0.33 is a huge jump (over 50% higher)

ELI5 why the 34-25 weapons should be shelved


All other 25-18 weapons had only their max dmg nerfed, but the 7.62 guns had both max and min dmg nerfed as if they completely outclassed the 25-18 weapons before, which they simply didn't. They basically got nerfed twice as hard as the other weapons. ACE 52 also got increased recoil on top of all that. For assault rifles, before, it was 3-4 BTK vs 4-6 BTK, and now it's 4-5 BTK vs 4-6 BTK. Only 1 less BTK at long and mid ranges isn't enough to make up for the much slower RoF, much higher recoil, and much smaller mag. Going with 33-25 would have made the most sense here.
