DMRs need a buff in velocity

I am almost exclusively play with DMRs. I was using G3 and AN94 but... You know...

After damage buff I am still sure DMRs are underpowered as a whole group.
Why ARs have much faster velocity? It should be quite the opposite. When moving DMR player and moving AR player see each other in the same time at more than 100m almost always AR player win... It is much easier to mag dump AR in general direction of target then precisely aim for moving target with 500m/s velocity SCAR H SV...

I think that general velocity of DMR should be buffed and stay in 600 m/s - 700m/s area.

Your problem is that you aren't using the QBU.
I buffed DMR velocity.
QBU is only weapon in my heart. That and the M1911.

QBU is only 600m/s and have only 10 bullets mag.

Most of the AR's are much above 600m/s...

used to be #3 in the World in RAWR Kills:)

The fact that Browser is right kinda almost proves your point, but yea try the QBU, M39, and (ugh) the ACE 53. However i find the MK11 to have plenty velocity, the SCAR is a tad lacking in the MV department. Though I'm very excited for the RFB buff, which will put it inline with the SCAR SV

Recon weapons are balanced via velocity, so a bigger range should be covered there. Also, BAs do not need as many hits as a DMR. BA gets headshot, done. DMR needs to hit again when the guy is reacting and starts moving.

I don't mind the velocity differences between ARs and DMRs in BF4, because it is more akin to real life in that Assault Rifles shoot light bullets at high speeds while Battle Rifles shoot heavy bullets at lower speeds. The QBU-88 shoots essentially Assault Rifle bullets so it has AR velocity, lower recoil and thus (slightly) lower damage; nothing much wrong with that.

After doing some research into the recoil recovery times between DMRs and Carbines, though, I would rather the DMRs have their firing rates increased to above 300rpm to start. With the recoil and spread recovery rates as programmed into BF4, an M4 with Heavy Barrel set to semi-auto out-damages any DMR out to 100m and beyond, because it can shoot ~3x faster even recovering all spread and recoil while the DMR only does ~2x damage at that range to compensate.
