Symplot - v.1.0.0.0 - new WIP (05.02.14)!

I'm currently working on an improved version of Plotic for BF4, written in C#.

Features

Custom Weapons and Attachments
2 custom weapons
2 custom barrel, underbarrel and accessory attachments that can be used by each Weapon


2 weapon slots
Set of various parameters such as weapon with attachments, stance, recoil compensation, scope and fire mode (full auto or burst).
The "compare weapons" option enables side-by-side comparison of these 2 slots.


Plot overlays
Allowing more precise comparison of the Plots of the 2 weapon slots. Available via the context menu of the plots.


Bullet drop chart
Shows bullet drop and damage as a function of the distance.


TTK chart
Shows time to kill (TTK) and bullets to kill (BTK) as a function of the distance.


Weapon comparison
Opens symthics comparison of the 2 weapon slots or the info pages of the weapons.


Weapon data
Displays the stats of all weapons in a handy grid.
Supports different filters (classes, weapon, DLC), sorting, grouping by classes and attachments.

Ballistic computer (BCPU)
Allows you to visualize the bullet drop and target size for all scopes and distances with one of the weapon slots.

Misc.
  • Optional auto updating of all affected plots, charts and stats upon changing a settings option
  • Multiplot feature: save images of plots, TTK charts, bullet drop charts or all of them combined for 2 sets of weapon and attachments
  • Placeholder system allowing dynamic naming of plots, charts, etc.
  • Highly customizables colors, font sizes and plot parts
  • Option to update the weapon data via the symthic API, thus always up to date


Information
This is still work in progress, so Heatmaps are still missing and there might still be bugs/glitches present. Some weapon/attachment stats might be incorrect so if you note a mistake, please report it to me.
The latest WIP (work in progress) file is updated on an irregular basis and is basically a copy of my current progress with the next update of Symplot. This way you don't have to wait for the 'regular' update to try out new features and you can already give me feedback. This comes with a certain price though, the file is not 'polished' and may still contain bugs/glitches.


Latest WIP (05.02.14)
  • Fixed an error that messed the weapon data up when it was updated from symthic. Only affected users with a OS culture that uses the point as decimal limiter.

  • Fixed a crash when using more than 5 bullets per burst
  • You can now selected a custom delay between the shots of a burst (allows spread and recoil to decrease between the shots). The effective ROF with the current delay is displayed in render properties
  • You can now select between full auto and burst fire when plotting.[
  • Added information about the ratings used in the numerical benefits calculations
  • Numerical Benefit calculations now supports vertical and horizontal recoil and FSM compensation
  • The Info overlay now contains recoil compensation and render properties (pixel per degree, sight)
  • Fixed some stuff with the numerical value boxes, resulting in less start up time
  • Fixed errors with the grindlines when the center of the plot as noticably different from the default values
  • Fixed a bug with the TTK details overlay not displaying the correct TTK

  • Redesigned some parts of the UI
  • No longer backwards compatible with BF3, solemnly focused on BF4
  • Added the option to retrieve the newest weapon and attachment stats from symthic.com
  • Added radial background
  • The Date/Time of the last web update of the weapon data is now shown
  • Redesigned Ballistic Computer, some sights are still missing though
  • Calculation of moving spread should be fixed now
  • Visuailizing the weapon's plot when aiming down a certain sight is now possible

Be sure to include some 'pro' features, like accuracy with complete compensation, and -reliable- hit% (as opposing to getting 50 different %'s with 50 different plots in the old symplot :P )

A proper Ballistic Computer that calculated compensation based on distance, muzzle velocity, and gravity is something that I've wanted for a while. Will there be a quicker application released where we can input our weapon and the distance to see how much we need to hold?

Reddit and Konami will rewrite the records... And I will be demonized in human memory. But... The thirst for good gameplay that I have planted will infest MGO3. No one can stop it now. The Rebalance Mod will unleash that thirst unto the future.

What do you mean by accuracy? The Plots already support 0-100% FSM, V-Recoil and H-Recoil compensation.
The calculation of the hit percentages has to be improved, I know :D

What do you mean by quicker application? Plus, there already is a ballistic computer in Symplot, what's wrong with it or missing?

There is? Never knew that. And what I meant by quicker application was a calculator where we inputted the weapon and distance then the calculator spits out the approriate hold instead of the table format that's currently used.

Does the moving values are right? In ADS i got same hit ration or sometimes better with moving on. Any weapon no attachment or with attachment doesen't matter. Ergo grip also not really works. At least for me.

They're not right yet. I still have to update the spread calculations to BF4 mechanics and all weapons still have a 'default' ads moving speed of 0.5 because it is not included in the Symthic stats API yet.
