i also tried switching the thumb actions(so holding circle with left thumb and and aiming as i normally would),.

That's how I do it. Rather than using my right thumb to hold X to arm, I use the left thumb, and then aiming is just normal.... Well, normal but panicking because I'm arming hahaha

I arm with my right thumb and swap my left thumb to the right stick, it works pretty well.

You can't yaw and fire countermeasures at the same time (both are left thumb). Dice pls.

Erm, isn't CM left bumper? Where's the problem?

it worked for me too back when i was on ps3, but the dualshock 4 is larger than the sixaxis, and doing that makes me have terrible aim.

at the moment i'm trying to figure out any good idea to leave L1 R1 and R3 to their respective fingers while still being able to arm the m-com, but the only solutions i can think of is switching the grenade and reload/arm button., but i don't know how well that'd work for grenade throwing.

As a console player who uses o to crouch I can tell you efficiently that you can do it once you have mastered switching between buttons which is kinda like how you would have to do in dmc3 for complex jc combos so I am used to that after 2k hours on the game, but even if you didn't play that game my advice would be to keep your thumb pressed while moving it to the other button which is at least the way I do it.

@MilkBoyWeeaboh15

Again, do not post on threads that have been inactive for a long time like a year. Please take time to read the rules, especially Rule 11.

Thread closed.
Links to users' thread list who have made analytical/statistical/mathematical/cool posts on Symthic:
  • 3VerstsNorth - Analysis of game mechanics in BF4 (tickrates, effects of tickrate, etc)
  • leptis - Analysis of shotguns, recoil, recoil control and air drag.
  • Veritable - Scoring of BF4/BF1 firearms in terms of usability, firing and other mechanics.
  • Miffyli - Random statistical analysis of BF4 battlereports/players and kill-distances. (list is cluttered with other threads).
Sorry if your name wasn't on the list, I honestly can't recall all names : ( . Nudge me if you want to be included
