CCS x10 Rules

Google Doc

General Rules

General Rules:

Season Overview

Season Overview:
Champion’s Combat Series is a Conquest 10v10 tournament. CCS consist of multiple divisions, which we call Tiers. A team’s placement in different Tiers is dependent on several decisions. The main influence for placement within a Tier is past experience, and that team leader’s thoughts on where its’ team should compete. Normally, team’s will be placed in a Tier through a thought out process among the Lead Tournament Organizers. The maps will typically be played on conquest small, and have 300 tickets. During the season, a total of X amount of games will be played against opposing teams in the Tier that a team is in(or your specific Tier’s Conference). After that, a playoff will be played with the top 6 (or 9) teams from each Tier. Thus, there will be 2 phases of CCS: A primary season, which helps seed for the 2nd phase, which is playoffs.

Match times must be agreed upon by each team. If a time can not be agreed upon, the default time of Sunday at 8:30 EST will be enforced. Try your best to always find a time that can work optimally for BOTH teams. If this can not be done. Maps may be decided to benefit the players that are available for each team. Matches must be played starting on the “match week” which is further defined as the season progresses. A “Match Comms Doc” will be provided for the teams to communicate, as well as a method for admins to moderate the progression of the matches.

The teams will consist of SA, NA, and Eastern Asian (JPN, SING, etc…) players. EU players/teams are allowed if their time permits.

Each team must provide a player that can speak english, or a translator that the team can trust, to communicate on their behalf.

Pre-Match Items of Importance

Pre Match Items of Importance:

CCS Conduct

CCS Conduct:
It is imperative that all participating teams and players understand that it will be prohibited to partake in ad hominem attacks towards any individual inside and outside of CCS. Simply put, we all represent the same community and we can not stoop to that type of behavior. Team rivalries and “banter” can of course occur, but please, always remember to keep it civil and that this is just a game. Skill level of players and teams will be different, but treat everyone the same way you would wish to be treated. CCS admins will hold the power to analyze situations of offenses and such situations may result in player(s) being banned from the season being played, as well as subsequent season(s).

Server Location & Map Choice

Server Location & Map Choice:
During the primary season, teams will be paired with teams within their region. Regardless, we have rules set that will help teams know what to do in various regional scenarios

Same Region

Same Region

Additional Details

Obviously, when you play on the same region, it shouldn’t really matter what server. However, server’s should be played with the following in mind:
Higher the tickrate, the better. (60>40>30)
Try and keep the pings for participating members even. Though, there shouldn't be complaining about 100ms and below.

Different Region

Different Region

Additional Details

In this scenario, teams must play one map in one team's choice of server, and the other map played in the other team’s choice of server. For example, BR and a NA team are playing, map 1 is played in BR choices server, and map 2 is played in NA choices server.
Question: How do we know who gets to choose first?
Answer : The decision is based on 2 criterias
If we’re in the playoffs, teams will be seeded. In this situation, the “BETTER” seed will veto 2nd, as well as have the 2nd choice of map/server.
In the main season, teams will need to coin flip. The winner of the coin flip will choose the map to play on their server.

Avg. Ping Region

Average Ping Region

Additional Details

This is a HEAVILY ENFORCED rule. If a server can be provided where the pings are more stable AND better on average for most players; this server will be used. What this means is if a team can average 110ms to one server, and another team averages 70ms; this server should be used instead of facing each other in separate servers where it’s 20ms v. 200ms etc…
aside: this will predominantly be used in ARG v. BR & JPN v. BR teams.

Roster Changes

Adding Players:
CUPS: Members of teams may only be added to a roster before the cup begins. When the cup starts, the rosters will be locked.

SEASON: Members can be added throughout the season. Rosters will be locked during the last week of the regular season. To officially be eligible for a match, a player must be added the week before the current week.

SWITCHING TEAMS: After players are signed up to play for one team, a player can only switch teams if approved by both team leaders. However, in the case of political situations where a release is not granted; CCS admins can help in unique circumstances.
MULTIPLE TIER PLAY: Other than having Team Leader approvals for “ringers” (see ringer section), players are not allowed to play on multiple teams in multiple Tiers.

RINGERS: A “ringer” is a player needed in the case that a team does not have numbers to play a match. In the situation that a ringer is needed, the opposing team leader must approve the ringer. Take into account a match played is better than a match forfeited. However, it is still up to that team leader’s discretion to allow a player or not. CCS admins can be sought to help in these situations if available.

Match Comms Doc

Match Comms Doc:

EACH TEAM LEADER MUST HAVE A GOOGLE ID THAT THEY CAN USE TO EDIT DOCUMENTS. If Colossus does not have...he needs it.

There are multiple pages on these MATCH COMMs docs, but the gist is that there, you will communicate using the template, and fill in the necessary spots that must be done for a given match. Other communications can be done on your MATCH COMMs forum, simliar to season 1. A template doc will be provided so you can visually see how you need to fill in the information on a MCD

Playoffs

For each tier (hopefully) 3 teams from each conference will progress to the playoffs, which means a total of 6 teams per Tier. The seeding for each Tier and conference will be based on a team’s success from the main season. Each team will undergo a veto process with their opponent to figure out what maps they will be playing. The “better” seed has 2nd choice for the map/location; so keep that in mind in the process.

General Map Restrictions

NO vehicle stealing from Uncap Spawn
  • NO glitches into Walls/Floors

  • NO cheating or use of Macros

  • Positions are forbidden where textures disappear in walls or grounds if a type of boost or jump is needed to get to that area.

Playable Maps with Ban list:

One of the main differences between last season to this season is the unification of Map bans between Tiers. This will help growth between each Tier more achievable and hopefully these teams will have less adjustments to make from season to season. Tier II and Tier III will remain VANILLA maps only.

Post Match Items of Importance

Point System (Main Season):
The point system will be done the same as CCS Season 1, which is also identical to BCL’s point system.
Each round during the season will consist of 2 maps. A map is won by having the highest amount of tickets for that map. An additional point will be given for the team with the highest amount of total tickets (summation of both maps). Draws may occur on a map, and if they do, no point will be awarded to either team for that map.

examples

Team A vs Team B = 3-0 : Team A has won both maps, and by that got the highest amount of total tickets.
Team A vs Team B = 2-1 : Both teams has won a map each, but the additional point goes to “Team A” for having the highest amount of total tickets, seen over both maps.
Team A vs Team B = 2-0 : Team 1 has won one map, but the other map ended in a draw (no points given for that map). That results in Team 1 having earned the highest amount on tickets, seen over both maps, and Team 1 are therefore awarded with the additional point also.
Team A vs Team B = 1-1 : Both teams won one map each. But both teams ended up with the same amount of total tickets, seen over both maps (ex: 120-80 and 20-60). No additional point is awarded due to a match draw.
Team A vs Team B = 0-0 : Both maps ended in draws, and therefore no points will be awarded at all.

note: Also "HOW" to fill them out will be shown in our google doc example.

Tie Breaking Procedure:

If at the end of the season, two or more teams finish with the same amount of points, the following methods will be used to identify the team that will move on to the playoffs. First tiebreaker is total tickets.

Two teams:

OPTION 1

If there is just a tie for 2 teams, they will play each other for a spot in the playoffs (or Gauntlet, such as Seed 6 vs. Seed 7)
Veto system will be ensued

OPTION 2

Head-to-Head <refer to rule location> (ONLY the teams involved with tie, NOT other teams)
Lowest amount of total tickets lost (season)
Highest amount of total tickets won (season)
Head-to-Head matchup re-play.
Three or more teams:
Head-to-Head <refer to rule location> (ONLY the teams involved with tie, NOT other teams)
Lowest amount of total tickets lost (season)
Highest amount of total tickets won (season)

Rewards

Team’s must decide which member on their team would receive the “mass” bulk of rewards before the season begins. Due to this being (obviously) VERY small scale; any awards we issue through sponsors and such need to be done in mass since the LTOs will be sending the awards out on their own dime.

Penalties and Other Issues & "SOUND GLITCH":

Courtesy Rule in regards to the “SOUND GLITCH”: Due to the recent exposure of the vehicle sound glitch. We will be henceforth be enforcing a rule on it. The LTOs of CCS believe that the sound glitch is not a glitch, but a game exploit to where it give the user an incredibly unfair advantage. Due to the game breaking mechanic that this exploit has, we will be issuing some rules to hopefully fix this.
If there is reason to believe the bug was used with malicious intent, no matter what, this will result in default loss for every round that player participated in with the exploit active and penalty points will be allocated to that said player.*
Quickly, I’d like to point out that the means to how the bug can be obtained is very simple and also can be quite accidental to unbeknownst participants in CCS. Due the nature of this exploit, here is how we will handle moving forward:
If a player has the sound bug, the enemy team is supposed to let him/her know in ALL chat that it is the case.
The players that were killed by the sound bug need to RECORD that this occurred
Q: How can we confirm?
A: Empty gadgets / spectator can also tell / obviously the vehicle is SILENT!
The player abusing the sound glitch, will be required to REDEPLOY within 50 SECONDS of his confirmation. HIS TEAM (the team leader probably) needs to constantly be monitoring all chat as best as possible.
If the above scenario happens, only -35 tickets off
If the sound glitch is not fixed on the player’s next life, an additional -35 tickets will be removed
If the offending team refuses to comply, and is also found guilty, they will default lose (-300 tickets) the round that it was used in.
Q: How can a player “undo” the sound glitch?
A: Rejoin the server OR change your loadout (change shell / camo / etc…) and hit ESC

What we recommend to team leaders: Have your team come to the match READY before it begins, so they do not have to change their gadgets in the wait screen before the match. Meaning, have teams change it in battlelog before they join the server. Join a pub and warm up with the setup you will use in your game. Simply do your best to AVOID going to the setup screen while waiting for the match to begin.

Additionally, we will be requiring a “before live” restart for teams to appropriately check their set ups. Afterwards a LOR will be done and it is recommended to not alter or change your loadout until the match begins!

Server Crash

There are a total of 3 options that are permitted if a server crashes. The third option is enforced if option 1 and option 2 can NOT be agreed upon.

Option 1:

Take the score as is
EX: Server crashed 186-110, take that as the final score

Option 2:

Restart the round completely, and play at the beginning

Option 3:

Play a round starting with the score that the game ended on. “Play with Handicap”

For use of Banned Weapon or Gadgets:

A screenshot, or video recording of an opponent, will be required to confirm a banned weapon. State in game that the weapon is banned. Due to #famasgate (thanks Pipo) from the Season 1 CCS Finals between uRaN & Symthic, further definitions of banned weapon/equipment usages are better defined as follows:

Point 1

After a user records a kill or uses a banned gadget/vehicle, the opposing team MUST say in ALL chat at the time of the infraction that it is banned. If, and only if, it is never used again through the rest of the match, a -60 ticket penalty is issued to the team that used it. Post game/round notifications of banned weapon use will not be accepted. Mistakes happen and the team should be allowed to change out of that banned weapon subject to the 60 ticket penalty. One could argue that if a player self reports and redeploys immediately after the infraction, AND did not occur on an objective’s burn radius, a lower penalty or no penalty but rather a warning is enforced. If it's on a flag radius it hard to say that it did or did not attribute to the game result and should probably be penalized subject to the proper notification.

Poin 1.1

However, if it was a “fluke” accident, and little to NO affect to the outcome of the game was done due to this; the LTO’s (ALL members) will have a vote to override a punishment. For this to occur though, video evidence and proper documentation must be presented to the LTOs.

Point 1.2

If there is consistent, and repeated use throughout the match, with warnings from the opposing team, then the team that used the banned equipment/weapon will receive an automatic loss for that round and 300 tickets will be rewarded to the other team.
“SOUND GLITCH” aka SOUND EXPLOIT

If there is a claim that a banned gadget/vehicle was used, the round must be played all the way to the end to ensure proper ticket count.

Forfeits:

If a team forfeits, they will be placed on probation for the next week. And 2 consecutive forfeits will remove you from this season.
The opposing team to a forfeit will receive 3 points for that week, as well as 600 tickets.

Recording and Cheating Suspicion:

Spoiler Spoiler

If a player is suspected of cheating by a team, the team must come to a tournament organizer, and ask for evidence to be provided by suspect.

Spoiler Spoiler

It will be required that each player have the ability to record their gameplay. There can be cases where the aforementioned statement can be waived, but it will be highly situational. But in the case that a player is suspected we privately go to that player and inform him/her of the decision that they are personally required to record. They are allowed to play the next week, but after that week if they do not submit those recordings to us, they are “soft banned” for the rest of the season.

Spoiler Spoiler

If their video is submitted to us and it shows them doing just as well as they normally do without inhuman abilities, then they are no longer required to record subsequent weeks, but if their recording shows them to not have a previous comparable skill set, then they are required to record indefinitely until the admins are satisfied that they are not cheating.

Spoiler Spoiler

In the case that cheating is confirmed. The player will be removed for that season, the team will get automatic losses for each map that the player participated in, and that player will be barred from playing for at least 2 consecutive seasons not including the current season he or she played in.

Spoiler Spoiler

Cheating is a high offense, and every member of CCS is screened through various measures to confirm their legitimacy.

Spoiler Spoiler

Previous known PBB bans will be taken into account, and a 20 month “clean play” protocol must have been followed to allow admittance into CCS.

Seems good, very nice to see no 3D spotting.
I won't be playing, but just to clarify, is the AN-94 considered 950+ RPM?

The AN-94 is NOT, so it'll be allowed in the tourney on start date.

Many leagues outright ban all DLC weapons - good to see one not doing so.
I would still consider banning the Target Detector attachment.

The Underdog Award is for a player that surprised and played past the expectations made for that player pre season. So...not exactly like a participation medal, but perhaps one should be made ;D

I believe Siege of Shanghai spawns an extra tank at B, and on Dawn Breaker there is a Tank and a MAA would either/or both of these cases be lumped in with the rule about not bringing more than 1 tank out of the base at a time?

So, Siege does spawn a tank at B if the building is down. I would allow that tank to be used, if a team gets the building down, and plays for the tank spawn, that's a strategic choice.

On Dawnbreaker, the MBT and mAA are both allowed out at the same time.

The main reason for banning multiple tanks for maps like Rogue and Golmud, is the idea that teams may struggle with having multiple Tank Drivers. If this is not the case, I would gladly allow all armor for those maps. So, the "one tank rule" is only for Golmud and Rogue. And one LAV for Lancang. Thanks for the question!
