Introduction to CCS

The Champion’s Combat Series is the first tier based league introduced to North and South America. There is seemingly a large amount of interest in conquest competitive. The spring season of ESL had 16 teams sign up and participate. Recently though, a drop in sign ups have occurred, and part of the reason is the skill gap that is between each team. What has happened is that ESL has not been inviting for teams that are just wanting to give conquest a whirl for their first time. BNL (the Nordic conquest league for EU) has had a lot of success, mainly behind the fact that their league is very “inviting”. They have typically at least 5 divisions. Division 1 consist of the top tier teams that have been doing comp since the release of the game, and the lower divisions consisting of teams that are newer and teams that simply do not have the time to be too involved in the comp scene.

That is exactly what we’re wanting to have in the CCS. A league that consist of the fiercest competition that you can find as well as a way for teams to get involved and play teams that are at their skill level. This way of balancing will allow teams that have been hesitant on trying the comp scene, a chance to play teams that are at their skill level and to play teams that have similar time devotion.

Currently we have 8 teams ready for Tier I, and at least 10 teams currently signed up for Tier II. The season will have two parts: A primary group play that will qualify you for the 2nd part of the season, which is playoffs. Depending on the sign ups, the Tiers may also consist of conferences. Here we will break the Tier’s into a “Northern Conference” and “Southern Conference”. This will be where the initial group stage will occur, within each conference. Finally, after that, the Northern and Southern Conference's top teams will play one another in the playoffs.

For the first season, Tier I will be playing mainly DLC maps to see what DLC maps are good for comp play. Most seasons of ESL and WEL have been played on only the Vanilla maps. To keep things fresh for all the teams, we’re wanting to have some new maps thrown into the pool.

We’re really looking forward to this new league, and if you think you have some friends or a group interested in participating, here’s a link to the forum where you can link your platoon and battlelog so we can begin setting you up for the league. Also at this location, you can ask some questions that you may have about the league . I really hope that if you are on the fence, that you will try and truly give 10v10 a chance. It might surprise you at how much fun you may have in an organized and strategically ran match.

Thanks! And see you on the Battlefield!

That sounds oddly like TWC backing down from a challenge.

This is PC only, correct?
