Useful tips and tricks

Anyone got any useful or not so common grains of BF4 knowledge they wish to share?

Maybe this is common knowledge, but I only figure out about a week ago that the Javelin also works similar to how the old SRAW works. Acquire target > fire a rocket > reload Acquire target > fire a rocket etc , it's possible to put 3 rockets on one target in under 15 seconds

when you parachute,if you hold W/forward while landing, most times you'll get hurt, for a parfectly safe landing just stop smashing the button before you touch ground.
the recoil for dmrs takes more time to settle than the spread no matter what accessories you have on,so go ahead and just let the recoil settle to be precise about what rof use.
the cx75 reload is un-synched,so try to stay in the reload animation longer than needed,or you'll end up with a failed reload, opposite is for the SRS(338 recon) which has bullet in it's mag long before the animation ends, especially in case of the long reload.
as suggested in other threads: strafing makes your aimpoint to be inaccurate especially on some guns like the qbx family, what some(even though just a few) don't know though is that the laser sight will still be in the center of the screen most times, and what even less knows is that iron sights are lesss effected by this, also speaking of iron sights, most people doesn't seem to knowthat they have an higher zoom than 1x optics.
something people seem to forget is that medic bags heals only if you're close to them, gradually and doesn't have a very high range,if you're teammates run away from your bags: use medkit, while it'll stop healing the person once he gets damage, you will be able to literally launch it at teamates even pretty far (~5 meters) and it will stick to them, giving you those points you wouldn't have got with a medic bag and you can even bypass the 2 packs/box limiter as it doesn't count the medikiti as yours anymore once it sticks to someone, but hey,you can always use both at the same time.
the movemnet bonus of bullpups is broken when you use the canted ironsights, well,at least i think.
as crazy as it seems, people do not know that you can hold your grenades in hand by holding the fire button after the grenade command, this way you can cancel a grenade throw as well if you change wepon while still holding the fire button.

pretty much all i could think of as of now that new players may not know.

For an average but improving player like myself, some of these tips are good and unknown to me. One can learn much from these forums but small useful tips like these are often overlooked. Pls share more if u have them ppl!

Wasn't there already a thread for this?
I dunno. Anyways, only one I can think of is always lead your shots slightly more than you think you have to. This applies for everything including MBT shells and UCAVs :P

When using the UCAV, don't just sit in a useless place for 30 minutes. Use it on the move: carry with you, and pull it out whenever you see an opportunity (tank in open territory, tank 100+ meter away getting attacked by friendly tank..that kinda stuff)

Update for that parachute stuff: Hold S and you won't get any damage. You can parachute from wherever as long as you're fast enough to press space and S.

Update for that parachute stuff: Hold S and you won't get any damage. You can parachute from wherever as long as you're fast enough to press space and S.

huh, well that will help with the low-height parachutes,it's quite hard to cancel the forward march when you have like half second to get from point A to B/ground.

anyway, something quite important that it's more of a bug than a tip:

you can't change the commands to control MAV and mortar,so if you use something that isn't normal keyboard and mouse,it might be quite tricky to use them(thats actually why i never use the mav)
the sraw mechanics works like a planet orbits: it will go where your aimpoint says, but if you let go ads in a certain point when the sraw is doing a curve,it will start drawing an orbit around the last point you aimed.(it's actually easier to do than to write) ,so if you miss a shot, don't reload, work with the phisics of the rocket and you'll eventually get a full hit that will look cool too.
if you pick up a .50 SR,once you change back to your primary sniper rifle you will obtain a range finder even if you didn't have it before.
the hvm-II rocket works basically like a javelin,so you can aim the target, shoot, reload, shoot again and you will get both hits even if you lost the lock at the first shot.
contrary to other explosives, C4 can kill people behind walls.
the rgo impact, flashbang and lvg nades, all the capacity to "blow after impact" but neither like an m32oHE nor like normal nades, basically,(at least the 2 nnades, not sure the lvg) can go on forever un-armed until they hit something, when they do,a very short timer(0.2 seconds for nades and 0.5/1 sec for lvg i believe) will start, and make them blow,so when you have to hit someone behind the corner of a tunnel(e.g locker C tunnels),don't aim at the floor, let it bounce off the opposite wall.
the m34 incendiary range "pierce" trough walls, for example,if you throw an m34 on the second level of locker and someone on the 1st level is below the m34 you launched,he will get hit.
flare might be useless from a tatical oint of view, but if you tend to be the stealthy guy,you can use them to both make the enemy think they are enemies(the effect it gives it's similar to a pointed laser) or to simply lure them somewhere else,as they give similar indicators to nades(not really useful, but at least they can do something against some people)

well,thats all for now.

My first useful tip: When you want to use the SRAW, use the SMAW instead. Or an RPG. Or MBT LAW. This allows you to become much more efficient at killing things.

This is true, except if you also want to take out helicopters.

Yeah, good one. Speaking of UCAVs:
1) The UCAV's launch trajectory means it has a MINIMUM range of about 150m. You can actually drag your mouse/control stick down rapidly upon launch and hit between 95-150m however you have practically no accuracy by doing this AND are unable to use the Airburst since it has an arm time
2) The maximum range of the UCAV is 400m HOWEVER the 'Battery life' of the UCAV drains faster by applying any motion other than straight forwards, this means that your maximum range can vary depending on how mobile your target is
3) Unlock the Airburst ASAP! Its tough to do but massively magnifies the UCAV's damage-dealing capacity!
