Given what's been (indirectly) done to Body Armour in CTE, I wouldn't worry about it being an issue if we do get an Xbow.

I still would. The CTE changes do nothing to make shotgun slugs more viable against armor, and the xbow is in pretty much exactly the niche as the slugs for this purpose.


Body Armour exists specifically to counter Slugs and close range Bolt Actions, and only those. I'd rather it not be in the game at all, sure, but we finally have it working as intended, so that's good enough.

And it's not because of the OTHER franchise either, why I am not fond of the idea. It's just silly. Propelling a knife from a launching mechanism doesn't represent military. That's Cold War spy territory.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

I'm starting to understand why DICE was collecting votes for a DLC post Final Stand. It's because of the extravagant nature of the Final Stand content. DICE knew this would probably be a very bi-polar Expansion where it appeals to the tastes of one demographic but completely confuses the other, and the "Legacy DLC," as it has been dubbed, is either:

1.) A backup plan in the event Final Stand utterly failed
2.) A secondary DLC to appease those who do not find Final Stand to be attractive
3.) To continue the normal, modern day trend that BF4 initiated with

To stay true to the 2020 world of Battlefield 4, the Legacy DLC reinstitutes the normal Expansion trend with 4 plausible remade maps combined with the new camos, paints, reasonable gadgets, and our beloved 5 new weapons to experiment with. It has no sketchy factor implied with it, just a normal Expansion pack with normal guns, normal gadgets, and normal vehicles. Therefore, it appeals to one demographic: the Battlefield 4 community, and not the science-fiction fans vs. the bound by reality fans.

I think we can expect another Expansion after Final Stand.

I agree, and so long as they get the green light from higher up the chain of command, I definitely get the impression DICE LA has the enthusiasm to make another DLC.

So I was talking with one of my friends today in a PS4 party. In our conversation we came across the Final Stand Expansion and he provided a brilliant educated guess/ theory for the "sci-fi" approach. Simply put he said DICE (whether it be LA or Stockholm) is experimenting with gameplay concepts for Battlefront. This makes all the sense in the world. Essentially they are using an Alpha technique to see how advanced firing and movement mechanics function in a multiplayer setting without the official Alpha. I think it's genius. I mean, speaking from DICE's perspective, your audience provides much more detailed and worthwhile feedback than the typical Quality Assurance tester does, so why not utilize the more reliable resource to do the testing for you? I would not be surprised if we see similar renditions of these devices in Battlefront when it comes along.

What "advanced firing and movement mechanics" are you referring to? Final Stand doesn't really introduce any new gameplay mechanics. There's a hovertank which functions pretty much exactly the same as the one from 2124, and then there's a railgun with a firing delay. Even the pod launcher works the same as in 2142. Which of these elements constitute anything new and groundbreaking?

Simply put he said DICE (whether it be LA or Stockholm) is experimenting with gameplay concepts for Battlefront. This makes all the sense in the world. Essentially they are using an Alpha technique to see how advanced firing and movement mechanics function in a multiplayer setting without the official Alpha.
What "advanced firing and movement mechanics" are you referring to? Final Stand doesn't really introduce any new gameplay mechanics. There's a hovertank which functions pretty much exactly the same as the one from 2124, and then there's a railgun with a firing delay. Even the pod launcher works the same as in 2142. Which of these elements constitute anything new and groundbreaking?

The way the railgun operates as well as the hover tank. I know, not the best phrasing but it's what came to mind. I know nothing of Battlefield 2142 and neither does my friend, so that wasn't even a factor in consideration.

the Sebstalder is quiet good since it can 3hit kill at any distanc ,but In my opinion i actually thikn the sweeper is better, its got a really really fast firerate that can beat alll those Noobmaticos, Helregall adn shitguns in close quarters , and its also really accurate out to like l;ong range,. overall great allround gun, jsut my 2$ tho

So I was talking with one of my friends today in a PS4 party. In our conversation we came across the Final Stand Expansion and he provided a brilliant educated guess/ theory for the "sci-fi" approach. Simply put he said DICE (whether it be LA or Stockholm) is experimenting with gameplay concepts for Battlefront.

I thought of that 1 second after i found out about the DLC and discarded the idea 1 second after i found out there were no Walkers, after all.

Tell your friend that i saved some appetizers from the party in the fridge. Beer, as you might have guessed, is long gone.
