Check out the hidden assignments page!

These instructions are pretty simple. The assignments are kind of neat to read through.

Very BF2-esque, generic format:

* Get to a given rank (or unlock the easier version of the assignment)
* Complete moderately difficult thing in a single round
* Complete a cumulative task

good find, thought they were in the bf4 battlelog introduction video already. In any event, interesting to see that the IAR aspects of the silver + gold assignments are very limited and also very easy: IAR kill 3 recons, IAR kill 10 enemies with any land vehicle .... I remember the expert class assignments as a bit of a torture at times, 40 IAR kills was quite a lot back in BF2 when it wasn't CQ kills streamlined. The expert transport badge with 11 IAR road kills was hell.

I just noticed all of the assignments have an "MP" next to them. That hints that single player will have their own assignments.

I love how the gold assignment "American Classics" which requires you to get kills with the M39, M4, and .44 mag has an Italian made M93R as it's emblem.

Why not a 1911? Or one of the weapons required? That's kind of off.

The other assignments are correct... The Swedish assignment shows an AK5-C and has that as a requirement. The Chinese assignment shows a QBU-88 and requires that. The Russian assignment shows a SKS and requires that. The American assignment shows a Raffica and doesn't require it?

What the hell!? In following the other nations' challenges the American Classics assignment should have a M39 as it's emblem.

Me thinks this template is a work in progress. There's a lot of inconsistencies between kits and weapon types.

IE: Engineer assignments tied to carbines, PDW's separate from Engineer, and no mention of DMR's.

Yes, i saw assignments after I unlocked most of the stuff, some unlocked new skins (that doesn't work), some dogtags (that I cannot see/choose them) and the 15th weapon - sniper rifle FY-JS (assignment Recon Expert (MP)), but i'm afraid that doesn't unlocks too, so i'm not going for it as is a bit time demanding :) (50 marksman ribbons - headshot over 350m) ... and i have only 4)

Hahaha, nicely spotted. I expect that the assignment designer sent a request to the art department for a badge with an "M39" but somehow the 3 and 9 got switched so the artist drew an M93 :D
I wonder if they'll fix it before release?

There should be more of these assignments as well. At least one for German weapons, and maybe British and Belgian guns too.

I finished one of the bronze assignments tonight. The level 20 conquest one. Oddly none of the level 10 requirement assignments are available but the level 20 ones are eligible for completion. I also have the bug where I unlocked 8 or 10 mastery dogtags for guns that aren't even available though.

I'm wondering if completing these assignments might reward you with a battlepack corresponding to the assignment tier.

I got two of the bronze ones already, I think all it did was give me a congratulations. Obviously, any incentive isn't attached to the assignments, yet.

Battlepack would be cool.

Also, did anyone notice that the bronze knife assignment requires rank 100? 8|
