Premium edition

I can either pay 45 for the standard edition (overpriced), or pay 55 for the Premium edition.

So, I look at what the premium edition had in it, and whoa joy! You get "3 Gold Battlepacks and 'Vehicle Shortcuts for Battlefield 3'"

Cool, so I can pay 10 extra for 3 things I'll unlock in game anyway, and something for a game that'll become obsolete the second I get my purchase...

I though you said you'd changed, EA. Didn't believe a word of it.

I assume you mean the digital deluxe edition. It also includes:

Exclusive beta access - which is moot now.
China Rising expansion - a value if you don't buy premium

It's not a bad purchase IF you don't also buy premium.

You still get China Rising and BF3 vehicle shortcuts even if you get the standard version. No point in going Deluxe.

Yeah, deluxe edition, whatever label they want to put over it :P

That expansion, is a preorder bonus, so I see literally no reason to get the higher edition...

Hmm, interesting. So if I'm right I could buy the Standard Edition off Amazon for ~30 and then just buy Premium at a later date if I don't give a damn about the Battlepacks (Which I don't frankly...)?
Well, I know what I'm doing :D

Yeah pretty much. In fact that is what I would recommend you do. I didn't have bf3 premium for PC (Did for xbox) so I went ahead and bought the Digital Deluxe thinking exclusive beta meant it was not open to all. Later learned exclusive beta was just 3 extra days before its open to all. I plan on buying premium which makes China Rising pointless so I guess I better get some sweet stuff in my battlepacks, lol!

Fool me once.

Just to point it out, Greenman gaming has an offer to get in store credit or cash back if you buy Battlefield 4.

Reckon I will wait a month or two for all the major issues to be dealt with this time around, and of course by than they will have some hilarious sale that everyone will be mad about. So I'll profit if I wait lololololololol.
