CLOSE RANGE OPTIC
  • IRON SIGHTS: No sights are attached to the weapon. The weapons built in ironsights will be used.
  • REFLEX [RDS]: An American red dot sight. Gives no magnification but has a clear view that makes it easy to track targets.
  • COYOTE [RDS]: A Chinese red dot sight for easier tracking of targets, many prefer it to a weapons [sic] default ironsights.
  • KOBRA [RDS]: This Russian red dot sight makes it easier to track targets compared to more high powered sights.
  • HOLO [1X]: Open sighting picture for close to mid range engagements. The reticle featurers a circle and dot configuration.
  • HD-33 [1X]: Optimized for close to mid range target acquirement. Has an open circle with dot for easy tracking of targets.
  • PKA-S [1X]: Russian advanced holographic sight featuring a circle and dot reticule for easier aiming.
  • IRNV [IR 1X]: IR Enhanced Night Vision sights for low and no light situations. Has no magnification for close ranges.
  • FLIR [IR 2X]: Night vision sights with a black and white effect and 2x magnification.


MEDIUM RANGE OPTIC
  • M145 [3.4X]: Optimized for mid to long range engagements. Most commonly foound on M240 and M249 LMG weapons.
  • PRISMA [3.4X]: 3.4x magnification with a cross and dot reticle. Best used in mid to long range fights.
  • PK-A [3.4X]: Chevron reticule and 3.4x zoom in a Russian design usually found on AK models and the Saika 12k [sic].
  • ACOG [4X]: The Advanced Combat Optic Gunsight is a medium speed, medium range scope which magnifies at 4x.
  • JGSM-4 [4X]: 4x magnification and ballistic reticle to more easily calculate bullet drop across medium to long distances.
  • PSO-1 [4X]: Standard issue Russian medium speed, medium range scope with a 4x magnification.


ACCESSORY
  • NO ACCESSORY: No accessory selected.
  • CANTED IRONSIGHTS: An alternate set of ironsights to switch to when engaging close range targets.
  • MAGNIFIER [2X]: Adds a toggleable 2x zoom to any red dot and 1x sights, makes acquiring and taking out long range targets easier.
  • FLASH LIGHT: Primarily used to light up dark environments but also blinds enemies if you shine it right at them.
  • TACTICAL LIGHT: A flashlight that lights up automatically when you aim down your sights. Lights up areas and blinds enemies.
  • LASER SIGHT: Increases accuracy when firing from the hip. The bright light makes you highly visible but can blind enemies.
  • TRI BEAM LASER: A laser with three points to make aiming from the hip easier and temporarily blind enemies.
  • GREEN LASER SIGHT: Can blind enemies if shined directly in their eyes and increases hip-fire accuracy.
  • LASER/LIGHT COMBO: Toggle between a blinding flashlight or accuracy increasing laserpointer depending on your situation.


BARREL
  • STANDARD BARREL: No barrel attachment selected.
  • MUZZLE BRAKE: The muzzle brake makes it easier to control the kick of the weapon at the expense of accuracy.
  • COMPENSATOR: Decreases recoil but at the expense of decreased accuracy.
  • FLASH HIDER: The Flash Hider hides the muzzle flash. You will still be heard but harder to see.
  • HEAVY BARREL: Gives you a tighter dispersion pattern but the increased weight makes recoil harder to control.
  • SUPPRESSOR: Equipping your gun with a sound suppressor makes it so that your position is not revealed when you shoot it.
  • LS06 SUPPRESSOR: This chinese [sic] silencer gives increased stealth at the expense of decreased bullet velocity.
  • PBS-4 SUPPRESSOR: Your position will stay hidden to enemies if you equip this Russian silencer while shooting.
  • R2 SUPPRESSOR: Silences your weapon by slowing down the bullet and capturing the soundswaves [sic].


UNDERBARREL
  • NO ATTACHMENT: No attachment selected.
  • BIPOD: Aim down the sights near any surface to deploy the bipod on it for highly accurate supported shooting.
  • ERGO GRIP: Reduces the accuracy penalty when shooting while moving.
  • ANGLED GRIP: Reduces the first shot recoil making bursts and single shots easier to handle.
  • STUBBY GRIP: Makes recovering to normal accuracy faster when coming out of a sprint.
  • VERTICAL GRIP: Reduces the accuracy penalty when shooting while moving.
  • FOLDING GRIP: Reduces the first shot recoil making bursts and single shots easier to handle.
  • POTATO GRIP: Makes recovering to normal accuracy faster when coming out of a sprint.

With this, I'll rid MGO3 of infestation. Sans bad gameplay MGO3 will be torn asunder. And then it shall be free. People will suffer, of course - a phantom pain.

Reddit and Konami will rewrite the records... And I will be demonized in human memory. But... The thirst for good gameplay that I have planted will infest MGO3. No one can stop it now. The Rebalance Mod will unleash that thirst unto the future.

ASSAULT GADGET
  • NO GADGET: No gadget selected.
  • M320 HE: Highly explosive 40mm grenade with a small blast radius for taking out infantry and light vehicles.
  • M320 DART: A 40mm cartridge filled with deadly flechettes. A good backup weapon for close quarters fighting.
  • M320 SMK: Explodes in a cloud of thick smoke to hide you from enemies or for forcing enemies to move if they want to be able to see you.
  • M320 FB: Explodes with a flash for temporarily blinding enemies. Useful for clearing rooms.
  • M320 LVG: A 40mm grenade that bounces before exploding on a timer.
  • M26 MASS: A small magazine loaded shotgun. A good backup weapon for close quarters combat.
  • M26 DART: A compact shotgun loaded with piercing DART ammunition.
  • M26 FRAG: A compact shotgun loaded with magazines of explosive ammunition for increased suppressing power.
  • M26 SLUG: A small pump action shotgun firing metallic slugs for increased efficiency at longer ranges.
  • FIRST AID PACK: Once picked up by a soldier it will heal him over a short timespan. Look directly at a firendly soldier to throw it to them or just throw it on the ground for anyone to use.
  • MEDIC BAG: Deploy a crate of first aid supplies. Any comrades nearby will start regaining health at an increased speed.
  • DEFIBRILLATOR: Automated External Defibrillator (AED) allows an medically trained Assault soldier to revive a semmingly downed teammate. If you charge the paddles up the teammate will be revived will increased health. [sic]


KNIFE
  • BAYONETTE: An M9 bayonette used against enemies in melee combat and allows you to steal their dogtags.
  • ACB-90: A knife with added gut-hook for taking out an enemy in melee and steal his dogtags.
  • SHANK: An improvised melee weapon for taking down enemies in close quarters and steal their dogtags.
  • MACHETE: A heavy knife originally for cutting down thick undergrowth. Take down an enemy with your melee weapon to steal their dogtags as a trophy.
  • BOWIE: A well-known knife model that is as deadly today as it was when it originated. Use it to steal an opponent's dogtags.
  • CARBON FIBER: Lightweight and quiet, use this knife in melee to steal dogtags from your opponent.
  • IMPROVISED: Sometimes you need to make your own blade for when things get down and dirty. Utilize this make-shift weapon in melee to take your enemy's dogtags.
  • SCOUT: This traditional Swedish knife can be used in the field to take an enemy's dogtags.
  • SURVIVAL: Handy blade to have out in the battlefield. Use it in melee combat to grab the dogtags of your enemy.
  • TRENCH: This knife is great for close quarters combat, which you'll be in if you want to use it to steal some dogtags from your enemies.

ENGINEER GADGET
  • NO GADGET: No gadget selected.
  • RPG-7V2: Fires a heavy rocket specialised in doing as much damage as possible around anywhere it impacts. Can also lock-on to laser designated targets.
  • FGM-172 SRAW: Fires a wire guided anti-armour missile that will fly towards the point being aimed at.
  • MBT LAW: A guided homing missile weapon for taking out enemy land vehicles. Achieve and maintain lock-on until the missile reaches its target.
  • MK153 SMAW: Fires a reocket specialized in dealing direct focused damage to enemy vehicles. Its rocket can also lock onto laser designated targets.
  • FGM-148 JAVELIN: A powerful surface-to-surface missile weapon which after lock-on is acquired will guide itself towards its target. Also has increased effectiveness against laser designated targets.
  • FIM-92 STINGER: An anti-air missile with a focused targeting system for locking onto and guiding the missile towards long range targets.
  • SA-18 IGLA: Has a targeting system that covers a bigger area in front of the weapon. Once a lock-on is achieved it needs to be maintained until the missile has reached its target. If the lock-on is lost it can be reacquired and the missile might still reach its target.
  • REPAIR TOOL: Will repair damaged friendly or neutral vehicles. Can also be used to sabotage enemy vehicles.
  • EOD BOT: Remote controlled robot which can repair friendly vehicles or sabotage enemy assets.
  • M15 AT MINE: A heavy explosive that is triggered when an enemy vehicle rolls over it.
  • M2 SLAM: Placed on any surface where it will wait for an enemy to pass by in front of it. When triggered it will detonate with devastating force stopping most vehicles in their tracks.


SUPPORT GADGET
  • NO GADGET: No gadget selected.
  • XM25 AIRBURST:

  • M18 CLAYMORE: Once placed firmly on the ground it will attach strings on nearby surfaces in front of it. If these strings are touched by an enemy the claymore will violently explode doing massive damage to its victim.
  • C4 EXPLOSIVE: Plastic explosives that can be placed on any surface or vehicle. The explosion is triggered by the user for devastating effect.
  • M224 MORTAR: Must be placed firmly on the ground before a soldier is able to use it. It fires projectiles capable of taking out lighter targets from a safe distance. Make sure to wait between shots to maintain maximum accuracy.
  • MP-APS: Once placed on the ground will start sensing for incoming grenades, rocket and missile threats. When a threat is detected it will take it out together with any others for a short while before it needs to recharge.

RECON GADGET
  • NO GADGET: No gadget selected.
  • PLD: Portable device to paint targets for missile weapons that respond to laser designation.
  • SOFLAM: Will automatically paint enemy and neutral targets in front of it allowing those targets to be locked onto by missile weapons that respond to laser designation.
  • MOTION SENSOR: After being thrown into an area it will start sensing for enemy movement and transfer the data back to your teams minimap. [sic]
  • T-UGS: Once dployed on the ground it will start sensing for enemy movement and transfer the data back to your teams minimap. [sic]
  • MAV: A remote controlled micro air vehicle used to fly behind enemy lines to spot incoming threats or destroy deployed enemy gadgets.
  • RADIO BEACON: If you place this on the ground your squadmates will be able to spawn on it. If the beacon is placed in the open your squadmates will deploy via parachute on its loaction.

Dice creativity on long range scopes is serious business



LONG RANGE OPTIC

  • CL6X [6X]: A high magnification scope for taking out targets at moderately large distances.
  • PKS-07 [7X]: A high magnification scope for targets at longer distances.
  • RIFLE SCOPE [8X]: A high magnification scope for taking out targets at long distances.

Seems like a lot of the attachments duplicate affects. I'd say it'd make more sense if they were only able to be used on X or Y weapon, but it seems like in the video they were available to all platforms.

Why someone would take the muzzle-brake over the compensator, one suppressor over another, or the AFG instead of the folding grip I wouldn't know. Visual preference?
Same with knives, I wonder if one is better than the other or if it just changes the animation/look.


I still don't like the HB stats. It's just ass-backwards that they'd make the recoil harder to manage. Tighter spread? Cool! And the way to balance it IMHO is not to increase recoil (which can be countered), but to increase either ADS speed or hip-fire spread or both. Heavier barrel means lighter recoil IRL, but heavier weapon weight means slower to aim and slower to swing around.
As is it seems a lot like BF3, too many advantages and not enough disadvantages. Makes it seem like it'll be just as OP and dominant in BF4.
However, running a flash suppressor seems like it has no detrimental affects. It could become a common attachment.
That and the muzzle-brake/comp + Ergo/Vert sounds like a winning close-quarters loadout.


I do like how the field upgrades "stack" as you progress, however I wonder if they are for squad or only for individual. A whole squad running one of each would definitely be a force to be reckoned with.




On the topic of weapons, I am glad to see some Isreali weapons (The ACE, for example), but I am pretty pissed off that there is NO 1911!!!
They better make it an unlock or a vet weapon.

At least they have a "compact .45", which sounds like it's a FN. Only pistol I am aware of that has 15 rounds of .45 is that beast of a handgun called the FNX-45.

Speaking of FN, Five-seveN! That will be interesting. Judging from the video it has less power than the Sig P226, but higher range and probably velocity. I wonder how it will stack up against the other handguns in practice.


Interestingly enough they killed all the stats of the .44 mag except the damage. Looks like it's a beast, but has lower range and accuracy than a 9mm. That makes no sense. The low ROF, reload, and poor handling alone should make it a challenging piece to use, making it suck at everything except blowing someones head off might make it seldomly used now.
