LSAT Review (It's good, I swear!)

LSAT

The LSAT, or Law School Admission Test is a half-day standardized test administered four times each year at designated testing centers throughout the world.
But enough about boring lawyer tests, let's talk about the bullet-shooty thing we got from the Close Quarters expansion pack.

-Look how small it is!

History:
The LSAT (Lightweight Small Arms Technologies) is a developmental LMG derived from the JSSAP (Joint Service Small Arms Program). JSSAP was initiated in 2004 to develop lighter small arms weapons and ammunition. The LSAT is, as the name suggests, developed to be compact and lightweight and is made from polymers and two variants fire polymer-cased 5.56mm ammunition and caseless 5.56mm ammunition. Future improvements to the design of the weapon include firing more lethal and greener bullets. Because we care about the environment.

Specs in game:

The LSAT resembles the Type 88 LMG in that it has a strong vertical pull, but has a higher FSM and spread increase when moving ADS in the crouching and prone stances, despite being the more mobile LMG. But ADS isn't it's strong suit. Hipfire is. It has the tightest hipfire spread of all the belt-fed LMGs, but that's like being the world's tallest midget. It also has the second fastest reload speed of the belt-fed LMGs at 5.6 seconds, only being beaten by the PKP at 5.38 seconds.

How should I use it?
Use it like the Rambo Cannon. It will do it's job better. The LSAT is a hipster LMG, in that it isn't used often (because it's hated) and in that it's hipfire is good. My recommended loadout on the LSAT is any RDS with a laser sight. A foregrip can be used to compliment its controllability, but it works fine with a bipod, which helps blend its role as a support weapon that can be used in close quarters. An important thing to remember when hipfiring this weapon is to stop moving to keep the hipfire from blooming too much. It may be good at hipfire, but it's definitely not THAT good.

In conclusion, the weapon is made to bring the suppressing firepower of support LMGs into CQC, but is only good if you know how to play to its strengths, hipfire and controlability. It is also great for looking fabulous on the battlefield and comes in Digital Navy Blue and Digital Woodland.
#3 RHIB pilot on PS3. I'm kinda a big deal.

It's all fun and games until someone posts child porn.

Incest is intriguing, due to the taboos placed upon it in our society. It can be a beautiful thing, and it should be explored more.

I think I'll go be gay.

All those lockable threads are making me salivate....

I need 60 kills and then I have mastered it.
It's a pretty good gun for hipfire, though kinda underpowered and underrated.
I unlocked the green camo with ease :)

I guess I'm kind of a weapon hipster.
Also, good but very short review.

It has not the best hip spread, but the best out of the belt-fed lmgs. Also the particular hip spread while moving should be analysed more in comparison with other lmgs. Has to be noticed the highest recoil decrease out of the other supoprt weapons too, and an in depth on how you can adapt the LSAT to resemble more clip fed / or belt fed and what are the respective advantages over both through different attachments combination would be great.
A good start ( <3ing the irony =D ) but dont give up and keep up the work!

I thought I wrote about the hipfire being the best of the belt feds. Thanks for pointing that out. Fixed.

Really nice review. Worlds tallest midget, LOL! I would just add some plots to show just how controllable and spray-able this gun is. It has the highest recoil decrease of all LMGs at 15, and combined with its 650 rpm and .4 vertical makes this gun hit very often when spamming the trigger. Still there's no real reason to use the gun, since the QBB does much more with similar control-ability and good mag size.

Thanks for this...Picked up the LSAT after a long layoff and all of a sudden I need to "re-learn" it...

Edit: Upon further review it's surprisingly versatile in run and gun or defensive bipod situations...And the quick reload makes a HUGE difference...My general use setup is 3.4x scope, bipod and laser/ext mags

Definitely claims the crown of "most assault rilfe-like LMG"

I have been using this a lot recently, but doesn't it simply the lowest DPS of any LMG in the game next to the Type 88?

It's not that good for run and gun in that sense.

Please check the dates of latest posts on thread before posting. Posting on old, dead threads ("necroing") is against Rule 11:

We appreciate that conversations drift from the Original Topic occasionally (often for the better), but deliberate derailment (particularly pyramiding) and Necromancy is prohibited. In general a thread over 2-3 months old is considered dead unless a discussion continues after the Necro, in which case it is OK. If in doubt, ask a member of staff!
