WTF is with servers with language filters?

So I got killed in some server last night by a M26 DART exploiter, I called him a naughty word and got auto-booted.

Then I join another server where I manage to flank 3 enemy squads in a tiny room all alone and murdered them with grenades and M1014 (9 kills in about 5 seconds). I say some celebratory trash talk and get auto-booted for using the F word

What the hell is with servers having these auto-boot policies for swearing? The voice-overs in this game contain ludicrous amounts of hard-"R"-rated language and the Russian soldiers say indescribably filthy dialogue, like 10x worse than the English VOs (I'm a russian speaker). So when the characters are talking about raping and being fucked and shouting this its OK but when I type a swear word I have to be booted "for the children"??

Re: WTF is with servers with language filters?

I was repairing the tank and got RPGed so I said "fuck I got RPGed" in squad chat to my tank partner and got auto-booted...Pretty fucking stupid.

Kids too young to see the F words shouldn't be playing this game anyways.

What? This thread has nothing to do with servers with language filters or am I missing something?

Re: WTF is with servers with language filters?

This thread has nothing to do with the morality or goodness of the inclusion of ingame swearing. I personally find it over-the-top, particularly the Russian swearing, but I don't mind it as I am a big boy.

This thread is about servers that auto-boot people for typing swear words in chat, which makes no sense in the context of the pervasive swearing built into the game

Being on Xbox I have not had this happen to me but I have to agree with a game that swears more than 'Conker's Bad Fur Day' this seams overkill.

Re: WTF is with servers with language filters?

Enforced "clean language" on a server is basically an excuse for power tripping admins to feel like big tough men. I've never seen a server where this wasn't the case.

Re: WTF is with servers with language filters?

im not interested in servers that have map or mode rotations.

When I play BF3, I want to play a specific mode and specific map until I want to play some other mode or map

Rush metro. CQ seine. Rush karkand... etc

I am fully capable of finding a server with another map or mode if i want another map or mode. I dont fucking want a server that does it outside of my control
