Does SUPPRESSION help "bad players"?

There are rumors that suppression helps bad players. The question is, how is suppression calculated? Does suppression switches off when a bullet hits it's target? I heard that it does not. But have found no hard data proving other wise. Do any of you guys have any info? Thanks.

It doesn't help them. They still miss you. Easiest solution is to find cover, wait for the effect to wear off and riddle him with bullets before he can miss you again.

Re: Does SUPPRESSION help "bad players"?

the point of suppression is to make it harder for your enimy to shoot you and your team mates for a short amount of time or to make him hide behind cover so you can move closer but might backfire if he has a tactical light or a shotgun

I agree. I don't have a problem with suppression. But when ever you try to have a mature discussion about it. Pro players play the suppression helps noobs card. Their logic is if you hit someone with a shot and they spray back at you, you will be suppressed unable to fight, while the sprayer with no suppression can retaliate without your opposition. I doubt the frostbite engine equips bullets on the fly with suppressive properties on the predication of a hit or miss. It seems it would utilize a lot of overhead. I was hoping someone had done some tests or looked through the game code and could verify if this was true or false.

Yes, suppression helps bad players.... But not as much as it helps good players... ->:P-

It's the players who think they are good that complains about it hurting them...

Re: Does SUPPRESSION help "bad players"?

Yes, it does help bad players. What I find annoying is, if someone with a bad aim is shooting at me from, say, behind, when I turn round my spread has already increased, my recoil is doubled or tripled, and my screen is blurring. So even if I magically get my aim on target and shoot, my bullets are extremely inaccurate and so I can't hit, and therefore eventually die. A player who can't kill from behind deserves to die. But the new suppression rewards bad players for having a bad aim. Seems a bit stupid to me...
