I want a bayonet attachment.

Heh, it would be interesting with animations similar to knifing.

The announcement of close quarters pretty much solidified that i'm likely not going to play this game ever again.

It's already difficult finding a decent server when you don't have the Operation Metro box checked in battlelog.

What do you mean? I know that the ticket count isn't shown in the server browser and finding a good game can be a pain, but joining Metro is usually more likely to put you in a crap team, compared to other maps.

This idea is quite good. Except it might end up getting nerfed too.

Bayonet : Works like knife, except since that it's attached to the gun, all you need to do is to use melee, "knife" is disabled, but you can still get dog tags or simply stab / slash the opponent.
Penalty... adds recoil? Damages team mates because he brushed on your blade? :P

Just put a potato on the end, that's what the Vikings did to their horns when they weren't in combat.

That would be really cool. Sensible penalty - 20% decrease in hipfire accuracy, 20% decrease in ADS accuracy. And kills with 1 'slash' in non-takedown situations.

Re: Thoughts on upcoming DLCs?

What gamemode do you play? I find that rush is the best on console followed by TDM.

What gamemode do think will play the best with close quarters weapons and maps?

Rush and CQ would seem interesting considering that we haven't seen the full maps yet. And what little we have seen from GDC happens to be TDM, and it turns out TDM is played on only 1/4th of the map they were displaying, so in all honesty, I'm quite excited.

70% of the time conquest. 25% TDM and little time in rush. By the way, my complaining about the big maps is just regarding Conquest mode. It's probably not a big deal in rush - after all, everyone's only going to one place.

Now, the modes. TDM is obviously gonna be good - the maps are small and it's all very close quarters. Plus, 'vertical combat' will mix things up a bit ;) On conquest, again, my bet is that it'll be very good, because if the rumoured 'vertical combat' is true it will be so fun to play. Watching the gameplay on youtube, it looks as if the fighting will be so intense - ducking under tables, plants, w.e. Now, rush. From what little rush I've played on infantry-only maps like Metro and Seine, I've not liked it much because there's a lack of flanking opportunity and only about 2-3 ways to get to a crate. Essentially, it's just guarding a few chokepoints, with a bunch of defenders on one side and a bunch of attackers on the other. I don't like that. With this new DLC, again, the vertical combat should mix things up a bit. I hope they make it a very varied map on rush, where you can go multiple ways and play strategically. If, though, it ends up as a load of chokepoints, I'll find it pointless. Others may not, but that's just me.

Re: Thoughts on upcoming DLCs?

Close quarters has me concerned for one reason. The USAS 12 it will easily dominate in the map I have seen and I noticed that not one of the DICE employees that were playing were using shotguns. I have no problem with the other shotguns but the USAS makes me kinda of fear the release of the pack. It would be nice if they ban it from playing those maps but oh well
