It would be possible to calculate the average amount of pellets hitting a target on any given range. From there it should be possible to calculate average TTK. If I am not mistaken someone on this forum posted calculations related to that, but I cannot remember who or where.

Edit: I figured I should be a bit more helpful and post links to relevant threads if anyone wants to do some calculations:

Well BBlog provides shotgun TTK/BTK. About the spread and accuracy, I thought TTK/BTK always assume body hits and 100% accuracy?

It does, but since shotguns work so different to normal guns you can't really guarantee that you get a 100% hit ratio... Plus there's the general issue with how the game files for shotguns are made, which is why the shotguns aren't included in the weapon comparison etc

According to BBlog, some shotguns kill less than in 1 second on 1-10m, my game experience confirms that.. Often got instakilled by SPAS-12, 870and some others on close range. So the TTK seems to be correct. 50 seconds on 80m for some shotguns also seems to be reliable

Well yeah... since if you hit with all buck pellets on a 870MCS you do 216 damage up to 8 meters.....

TTK on shotguns is meh. Assume that every pellet of 870 Flechette hits at 150m. 8.4*12=108 damage. So the 870 *could* kill in one shot at all ranges. TTK is supposed to be a measure of how well weapons perform relative to one another. That's not realistic at all.
