I've received the data for next patch from DICE.
Edit: I've received some updated files where the feedback has been taken into account.

It's not 100% sure yet that the patch will go live with following numbers as Demize99 told me:

Fore grip

Basically before it reduced the horizontal recoil by 50%, in these files it reduces h-recoil only ~20-33% depending on weapon.
It also increases the minimum spread 20% ~ 50% depending on stance and weapon.


Suppressor

Suppressors will not reduce the damage anymore.
Now it will reduce the distance where damage starts/stops to drop off instead.
For most weapons it will decrease the min spread by 25% instead of 50%
Although looks like M60 will still have the same 50% effect.


Heavy barrel

For most of the weapons it decreases ADS min spread by 75 or 50% depending on weapon.
Recoil is still increased by 10 or 15% and HIP min spread by 20-25% depending on weapon.

It doesn't make AN94 100% accurate anymore while aiming down the sight.
Reduces ADS min spread by 75% and only increases recoil by 10%, the hip fire penalty is 20% for AN94
G3A1 is same than AN94 except heavy barrel increases recoil 6.7% and hip fire is increased only 14.3%

For few weapons it also makes Spread increase per shot 10% higher.
Edit: which was a bug and has been removed, no spread increase increase anymore.

It will also increase drop-off end distance by 50% making weapons more deadly at ranges between 50m and 90m, depending on weapon.


Flash suppressor

Will decrease recoil by 17 ~ 25% depending on weapon.
For most weapons it increases hip min spread by 20~25% but some weapons don't have any hip accuracy penalty.


Extended magazine
There seems to be extended magazine for AS VAL which didn't exist before.
With ext mag it will have 30 bullets in a mag instead of 20

So many BF veterans are waiting for 1 body shot kill for bolt-action sniper rifles, but turns out DICE is nerfing it. What is the logic behind this?

In BC2 Recon gets throwable C4, throwable motion ball, and 1 hit kill ability in CQC. Turns out Recon class is very powerful for good players but not overused at all. DICE, please, let recon be more aggressive with the sniper rifle!

[UPDATE] Well the new data shows the bonus damage multiplier for sniper rifle chest shot. For those replied me saying quick scoping is BS, I recommend them go check out <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_CKJqBoF3c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_CKJqBoF3c</a><!-- m -->" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . It takes extreme skill to be successful with quickscoping, not to mention that sniper scopes aim slower. It will be more balanced for recon class.

Nice work bro!

Don't like the fact that all the guns do more damage though, i would prefer less damage actually, maybe they change the accuracy stats a bit to the worse.
Can you explain what the min and max bulletdrop stuff means though? Is it higher bullet drop up close but less bullet drop for targets that are far away?

Ie. most assault rifles do 25 damage, but after 8 meters the damage starts to drop until it's 17 damage at 50 meters.
After that it stays at minimum damage until the projectile disappears after 1.5 seconds.

edit: one question. G3A3, M240, M60 and SCAR-H, share the same damage and i think the same bullets. Why only buff the max damage LMG bullets and not the G3 max damage, to 34 like good old g3 days? I understand why in Scar-H, not really in a "horse kick recoil G3". The minimum damage being 20 or 22% is almost the same, 5 bullets to kill...

Regarding Sniper's:

We will have two groups of sniper rifles: Semi autos (all stats are the same) and Bolt action (all stats are the same), the difference will be minimal inside these two groups of weapons (talking about: Damage, recoil, reload, capacity etc).

Overall: i think DICE is not buffing or nerfing anything, just put equal stats in all weapons and let us decide which are better looking. They will probably put some new and overpower weapons in the next DLC to help us choose (*cough * cough Famas *cough).

ROF: Quite neglible on bolt action. Though in a firefight the M40 and L96 would be preferred.

Speed: Faster is nice and means a bit longer range (You wont ever have to shoot that far in a regular game), but not really necessary if you can lead properly.

Max dmg: Identical.

Min dmg: Identical.

Dmg range: You're talking about 63 vs 59 damage at 100 meters. Neglible..

Hardcore OHK: M98B can get OHK's in the chest 19 meters further away than the others, neat, but still neglible... M98B gained 40 meters (up from 75) and M40/L96 gained 46 meters (up from 50). Not that important on M98B..

Magazine: M98B still at 5 rounds, all other sniper rifles has the double. Not that important for long range, but now that they all have the same damage it's a significant difference - especially in a firefight.

Reload: Fairly stable, 0,2-0,5 second advantage to the SV98. Fairly neglible, though can mean the difference of life or death in a firefight.

Reload Empty: They're all pretty slow, but 0,7-0,8 second advantage to he M40. Neglible unless in a firefight where 0,7 seconds is a very long time.


So what's the main points of bolt action rifles now?

SV98 - Fastest regular reload (barely).
M98B - Fastest bullet speed, Furthest Dmg range/H-OHK range, Half magazine size.
M40A5 - Shared fastest ROF, Slowest bullets, Fastest empty reload.
M96 - Shared fastest ROF.


I'm a M98B guy, I liked the high damage because I could either take out wounded people or significantly wound them for my team to finish them off. Now all bolt action suddenly get the same damage (wtf?).

Am I willing to sacrifice half my magazine for a bit faster bullets and slightly longer H-OHK range? I'm not so sure. M40 and L96 looks a lot more interesting now, though I don't know for sure if they can pierce the glass on a choppers cockpit.. Might be what can make the M98B worthwhile.

Seriously, the .338 Lapua round is totally badass. But in BF3 all it gets is some extra speed and 20 meter extra max dmg range?
Are you kidding me?


Edit: It would all make sense if they changed the *KABOOM* sound when firing the M98B to the trololol song, especially if we attach a foregrip to it.

I Agree with you, it makes zero sense nerfing the bravo's damage, its a nasty 300 grain round, since the .308's are commonly around 200ish, and the .50's are around 700 grain, but the lapua is a sniper round, thats what makes it soo damn deadly.

Please say there is a 400% damage increase for SMAW/JAV to tanks.........and disabled vehicles has been removed.

Any word on decreasing the range of ENG weapons? INFV tweaked to have consistent imaging across all maps or at least daylight dependent (IE Metro "fog" removed). Bipod improvements? Riding the MAV finally removed? Flashlight and Laser finally realistic?

This game has sooo much potential if they just tweak some frustrating balance issues and exploits. Please keep us updated
