Damaged Profile Data Fix (xbox)

Just in case you have the same problem.


For those of you who are getting the "Player Profile Data Appears to Be Damaged" error:

This issue sometimes occurs when the local player profile data has become corrupted. To fix this, you will need to redownload your player profile data, which is stored on our servers. The easiest way to redownload your profile is to simply select a save device (cloud storage, USB device, etc.) that does not have any Battlefield 3 data on it when prompted after initially loading the game. Since no player data will be found on that device, it should redownload the server-side copy.

Once this is done, you may wish to copy the non-corrupted data back to your primary save device and overwrite the corrupted data. This can be done by going to the Xbox Dashboard, then Settings -> System Settings -> Storage -> (storage device with new profile data), then selecting 'Battlefield 3.' You will then need to find the non-corrupt profile, select it, then choose "Move." When prompted, move it to your primary save device and allow it to overwrite the existing data. However, do note that doing this may delete any campaign progress that you have made thus far. Multiplayer/Co-Op unlocks, awards, and stats will not be affected.
